I. Nova (7-5, 4.92)

vs.

J. Cueto (13-2, 2.64)

Gardner -LF
Ellsbury -CF
Beltran -DH
McCann -C
Castro -2B
Gregorious -SS
Teixeira -1B
Headley -3B
Hicks -RF

Just go out there and kick some San Fran Butt and Nova remove your head from your butt prior to start time. Read an ESPN article that Hal and A-rodham had a chat. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when that went down. Hal probably told him he was a member in good standing despite his actions and that the "know nothing: fans were wrong to want him gone.

Nova skating on thin ice. Probably be gone by 5th. How bout a couple runs off Cueto?
Yanks badly needed the sweep vs Balt...was a two game swing in the standings from 4/4 to 3/4, instead of wiping out four games from the deficit, it became two.....might as well dream on and shoot for a sweep vs SF with Madbum already out of the way. Looks like Yanks have the same old inconsistent offense out there today.

Thus far Nova had done his job, how much further is the question. Given his history I'd say he needs to be monitored close from this point. Betances & Miller showed no on shit last night so tag offence, you are it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Nova, through 6 and you didn't shit the bed. Come on offense lets get going!!!!!!!!!!

Gardner & Ellsbury, the dynamic duo, failing to bring Hicks in. Nice work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, 7th inning, Yanks have lead runner on 2nd, one out with Gardner and Ellsbury due up.
Bochy licks his chops and brings in sidewinding LH Lopez who has allowed 1 hit to LHBs in the last 30something ABs....and Joe the Genius has Gardner and Ellsbury back to back at the top of the lineup...
Gardner is batting .250 with .309 OBP and ONE HR vs LHP,
Ellsbury is batting. 257 with. 295 OBP and ONE HR vs LHP.

Lopez easily dispatches Gardner and Ellsbury on weak grounders to 2ND base.
Lol, They didn't have a chance.
Girardi should break these two up at the top of the lineup....They're too easy pickings and relatively harmless vs LHP.

Hicks leads off 10th with a walk....here we go again.
Gardner and Ellsbury due up vs another LH....

....wild pitch, Hicks to 2ND base....maybe Gardner will smarten up and drop something down the 3rd base line and AT LEAST TRY and make something happen?

Gardy walks, 1st and 2nd no out...Bochy goes to his closer RH Casillas to face Ellsbury.

Sac bunt by Ellsbury, 2nd and 3rd one out........they INT walk Beltran, now loaded bases one out McCann at bat....stay tuned.....fatass McCann pops out to short LF on first pitch, all runners hold. Castro up, two out.
Castro flies out, inning over.

McCann already pulled a blunder earlier getting caught off 1st base on a routine flyball thinking it was two out.
Is HE a head case? Lmao, nah, he's one of the "good guys"....and having quite a pedestrian season. Hate to see this guy when HE loses a step or two in couple of years.

McCann just with zero awareness of the situation with that idiotic first pitch swing. The bases are loaded and you need to make the pitcher throw a strike there.

I'll give Girardi this much, he had balls, or stupidy (?) pitching to Crawford with lead run on 3rd two out.
Crawford is one of their very best hitters in this current lineup.

Imo, Yanks need a HR to win this....I don't see them putting a couple of hits together. And at this point, I would much rather have Dave Kingman instead of Tex.

Well there it is. Unless they can do something in the bottom of the 12th this will be a very poor lose. Just letting a struggling team off the hook due to ineptness on offense.

Almost like clockwork, as soon as the big Yankee three RP are done, Swarzak gives up a double and an RBI single. There ya go!

Before anything else happens......this freekin Ellsbury better start shitting gold rings very soon.
Wtf happened to this guy? He isn't injured, barely batting .270 with a very modest OPB....he's not OLD....wtf?

Four more years of Ellsbury at huge money. Just a terrible signing. This loss is exactly why you can't buy into anything with this group. They should be sellers and that's all there is to it. Absolute garbage like Hicks is what's on the bench. Give me a break.

...Yanx, 0-10 with RISP...end of story.

Yes indeedy, your basic tough stinging loss.
I'd like to give McCann a rousing kick in his butt.
And this Swarzak guy, the more he pitches, his ERA will become closer to "5".
Are the Yankees really trying to convince us there isn't some kid reliever in the minors with livelier stuff who wont benefit from the ML experience Swarzak is sucking up and can't be at least as good a "middle reliever" type than Swarzak? And this isn't only including TODAY...he's been around the track....common knowledge he isn't great shakes.

...Hicks has never been worth a shit at the plate. He now has over 1100 career ABs with a slash line of .218 .296 .338 .634 with a career OPS+ of 74.

...that's abysmal...especially for a corner OFer.

Fatass McCann needed a routine flyball to win the game.
And it's probably better suited this way because THESE are the things competitive teams do to win games.....and we are all in agreement that this team has been nothing but consistently mediocre.
We knew it was highly unlikely, but if we have any respect at all for the 162 game schedule which sets itself apart from the other major team sports, this team needed a 6,7,8 game win streak soon after the Allstar break to at least show some balls and put management in position to both be sellers while STILL looking to possibly improve a team which is in calling distance of playoff spot.....do yourself favor, go ask Houston Astros' fans if they "like" the WC Playoff.

Go ahead....get back to me....I'll be waiting. Lmao

Should of known these Idiots would lose. From what I heard they had so many wasted opportunities to score more then 1 fucking run.

Yep, he has been terrible offensively.....and he has yet to reach his career seasonal high ABs this season. This guy obviously has been a struggling player and I am NOT predicting "success" for his career...but do us a favor and take a look at his numbers from last year when he had his most AT BATS in a SINGLE SEASON, 352....he has so far had 194 AT BATS THIS YEAR...so don't cloud the issue to suit your point.
And don't try and use your typical cheap shot attempt at twisting things to prove your point - I AM NOT PREDICTING, NOR DID I EVER SAY HICKS WAS NECESSARILY GOING TO BE A "GOOD" PLAYER...I just wanted to see what or if he could improve on last year's numbers when he had 352 ABs....I'm sure you would want the Yanks to give you AT LEAST close to similar ABs as last year.
So far he's had approx 45% less ABs than last year.

By the way, anyone see John Ryan Murphy lately?
AND by the way '59, have we arrived at a verdict yet on the "Yanks" choice of going with Miller for less than Drob?

Oh, gotta love convenient amnesia.
