Severino vs. Carrasco

Lineups to follow...

The Yankees have placed Matt Holliday on the 10 Day DL with Left Lumbar Strain and recalled Garrett Cooper from Triple A as per Bryan Hoch.

Greg Bird said there are no issues with Ankle Post Surgery and is extremely encouraged by his progress as per Meredith Marakovits.

I'm just bubbling over with wonder over what that move is thought to accomplish.

That move sets the stage for hicks to come back and share the dh spot with judge, gardener and frazier. Holliday is done and can barely get the ball out of the infield and we won't see him again till september roster expansion. I think bird is back in the next couple of weeks and takes back first with headley and t frazier forming a right-left platoon at 3rd. Only missing ingredient is castro back and maybe next week to 10 days. Unless sanchez is brain dead he can't miss the message girardi sent today catching romine in a day after a night game which he never does. The message to sanchez is clear. Start catching the fucking ball and doing what your supposed to do defensively or your playing time is going to be at dh and giving romine a rest. Hopefully he gets the message as he still has a potent bat the team needs.

Between Hicks, Frazier, Gardner. Judge, you've got a pretty good OF/DH Group add in Sanchez as DH if applicable. Saw the Girardi take on Sanchez and agree, that is an important sensitive position. Ellsbury PR Duty. Watching MLB I'd hope Bird gets back but one never knows. Also watching the pitching in games ahead I do not see Jmo as a starter. Real crock of shit there, let that kid keep developing.

Now get out there and get that run back, tired of spending 3.5 to 4 hours of baseball to see you Yankees get your butts kicked.

Looks like Judge is riding the circuit with a To Be Determined return date. Give the poor state of this teams offense, the pitchers have to walk on eggs during game days.

This team has become so boring to watch. A once unstoppable offense. Now we sit and hope they can scratch out a run.

Get it , but can't say I agree with Sanchez bat not in line up with all the injuries...

Two on, 1 out, offence stalls again. Damn Torreyes & Romine. At least Boston is losing to Chicago at this time don't know how long that will last.

Work a little magic here Joe , lead off runner on, let's get it done for severino

Timely hitting...........not today so far. They are getting men on base, but then they are not able to break through........
Will someone on this team please get some runners home!!!!

Bases juiced triple from Ellsbury, damn I mut be dreaming. Keep on scoring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just heard the call from John Sterling on Twitter......"A Base Hit in the gap.....and it goes over the wall for a 3 Run Homer. Thank God I am not listening to the Radio. :rotfl:

Not feeling so good laying in bed watching. Can't wait till these stitches come out next week. Ells hasn't been good but have to say I felt good for him watching him get that big double with the bags loaded for us. Then rizzutto with the add on run. Best thing about judges homer was watching him finally make fair contact and hit one of those line drive homers to right center. Good omen for the future. I usually have my phone next to me and click on the mlb icon to hear sterlings home rim calls since the app is usually on a 30 second or so time delay. Had to laugh as he described judges linebdrive after some hesitancy as a base hit to the right center wall before I guess Susan told him it went over the fence. LOL. Seve is dominant and will be glad when Red Sox play a real team again

Sevy gave this team a damn fine pitching performance against a genuine contender. Give that man a New York Strip Steak with French Fries, salad, and some beer to wash it down with at the post game spread.

A win for the Yankees will permit them to maintain, right now Boston up on Chicago 6-3, Tampa at 1-1 with Milwaukee.

I would like to take 1 of those drumsticks and stick it up that guys Ass.

The Yankees have Optioned Jordan Montgomery to Triple A as per Bryan Hoch.
