M. Pineda (6-11, 5.12)

vs.

W. Miley (8-11, 5.43)

Lineups to follow...

Time for the Yankees to get a "W" but with Pinhead on the bump I've little confidence. Offense better find a way to bash Miley today.

Gardner -CF
Refsnyder -LF
Sanchez -C
Castro -2B
Headley -3B
Romine -DH
Judge -RF
Austin -1B
Torreyes -SS

Saw that lineup earlier, Joe pulling a bit of a shocker, good to see Ref back in the, hoping that Judge will be productive. The remainder of this season needs to be an ST '17 preview, let those kids play.

I will pray to God that whatever the Yankees plans for next season are, Pineda will not be in them.

Why did Girardi PH for Refsnyder (Ellsbury) in that situation?
For crissakes, let the kid hit. Yanks were leading 4-2 in the 7th, leadoff baserunner. Was it so significant having Ellsbury bat against a RHer? Leave Refsnyder in there - Ellsbury has become rather mediocre....classic case of overmanaging at the expense of one of the Yanks' better "young" hitters who is still developing.
Refsnyder continues to hit and hold his own when he gets playing time.

Last game in Crack Town, Yankees had to have a smidgen of luck to win this one but we'll take it.

Watching Pineda pitch is like watching a time bomb ready to go off!
His body language is so telling that he is having problems out there. That 4th inning was very
telling. He threw over 35 pitches that half inning. He gave up one run and it could have
been worse. OK. He goes out for the 5th.......head bowed, arms limp.....a picture of no confidence.
Gives up two consecutive base hits. Enter Girardi. Goodbye Pineda. 4+ innings of work with the lead.
And he can't finish what he started. Sad. Been happening all f'king year!

End game: Yankees win...........no thanks to Pineda.
