Remember the starting time kids.....

RHP - Ivan Nova, (No record)

VS.

LHP - Cole Hamels, (5-5 2.96 ERA)

Over looked in this series so far that have seen the Phillies score 22 runs in the 1st two games both resulting in wins is that coming into Yankee stadium the Phillies were a league worst 7-28 on the road. Go figure.

Today's lineup......

CF - Gardner
3B - Headley
DH - Rodriquez
1B - Teixeira
RF - Beltran
LF - Young
C - Murphy
SS - Gregorius
2B - Pirela

We better not get swept by this team.

Inconsistent has defined this club all year.

...before the season ever began there were a lot of people who didn't have a "warm and fuzzy feeling" about this Yanx roster and their chances for success...they still have the opportunity to claw their way back but they will have to make some "adjustments" before that will happen, IMO.

...but at this point?...yeah, "fools gold".

The owners' moratorium is a sure 'class act'.

Wouldn't I fkn know it, Kim has a MRI appt. at game time........my fkn luck this year, with Yanx games too often sux.........!!! I don't own a DVR either, that's alright, its not 1998-2000.........those games were all recorded.....can one say VCR/VHS.......

now a dinosaur method.......

But maybe that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world as it might wake up the Brother's Grimm and get a GM capable of putting together a quality team and then actually making the moves to be just that...

And keep in mind, I live in the Philly market and would have to hear it daily...

...ouch !

Philly is a perfect example of holding on to veterans a little to long. Utley, Rollins & to a lesser degree Howard whose best years are WAY behind him.

Yanks are currently very much IN this division race.
They will - IMO - make "adjustments"..... what those adjustments will be, and whether or not they will work out is why we play the games/schedule.

...not much choice... all because of ill-advised contracts.

...sigh.

Another ump falls asleep and potentially misses a big 3rd swing on the check and instead of saying oh shit I blew that one compounds it by throwing girardi out while he was taking a drink of gatorade. I hate these incompetent rabbit eared motherfuckers. I guess they can't review that as it would be about the 2 millionth call reversed already this season by the incompetent boys in blue. Wonder how many their allowed to miss before they get their asses suspended or fired.

...loling @ Girardi getting tossed for arguing a check swing.

I think for girardi that was the final straw of the after effects of the yankee staff getting their balls bombed off the last 3 games including the last 2 to the putrid phillies

Good. Keep these asswhole Umps honest.
I am personally tired of watching too many opposing rookie/young players getting the benefit of the doubt on close pitches.....be it hitters or pitchers.

Go out there and let them know your alive and paying attention.

...the thing that ticks me off about check swing calls is the HP Ump sometimes stubbornly refusing to ask for help from the 1B or 3B Ump when the batter/catcher/manager asks for it.

70 games in & now, knocked out of 1st, getting our asses kicked by the worst team in baseball, our so-called aces pitching like shit & now heading to Houston for a tough 4 game series, when exactly do we start making adjustments.

...I think this game is in the bag...Yanx dog it vs garbage pitchers but beat up on Hamels.

...after the first 25 games they were 16-9 ..........they are a sub - .500 team since then.

Note to trashman let somebody else overpay and take that ridiculous salary for hamels. :drinkapint:

Ahh...that's why we play the games.
This portion of the schedule - imo - is important....BUT, it's not quite July yet and there is, and there WILL be time to make adjustments.
I know we all want them to be in first place NOW-; by 10 games........but they could be in first place by the end of June.....or within a couple of DAYS. Jeez.

Let's win today's game vs Philly and try and go 4-3 at Houston and Anaheim, or no worse than 3-4.....there's always an "answer" until it's too late.

Hang in there. lol. Pretend you're a Yankee player, or the manager,
are you going to throw things around and kiss it all goodbye on June 24, are you?

4-3 to finish up this 20 game stretch at Houston and Angels!

Something to look forward to.

This is NOT the NFL......almost three more months of mucho games to go.

yup....

not sure what adjustments will be made other than call ups. they arent shopping for rentals.

History repeating itself, last Phillies det in the Bronk the Yankees with Sabathia beat the shit out of Halladay. Then Pettitte & Brunett lost to JO's like Moyer and Kendrick.
