Well lets see, the Rangers broke a team losing streak on the Yankee and in turn stopped the Yankees series streak. Can't blame the offense, the Staff simply choked away the game. Yankee Brass need to put on thinking caps and start to fix the pitching. Mid year may be too late.

White Sox Wellington Castillo has been suspended for PED use.

...you know, something I've been rolling around in my head is what happens if Bird does not return to his former self when he comes back?...here's a wild idea, and I know I'll probably get some heat about it but what about trying to convert Sanchez to 1B?...love his bat and I know he's got a great arm behind the plate but IMO, that's all he has going defensively...he simply gives up way too may PBs and doesn't block pitches in the dirt well at all...but overall, defensively, I think Romine is better defensively and I also think he handles pitchers better.
...like I said, it's just a thought...here's another thought, (I was gonna suggest Hicks at 1B but he's just too damn good defensively in CF...same with Judge...but what about Stanton at 1B?...he's tall and it would free up an OF spot and let's face it, he's not very good in LF.

..again, just spitballing, but hey, trust me, I really hope Bird finally has his shit together and can stay healthy.

I like your idea. Catchers have to trap balls in the dirt, capture past balls as routine. Starting Romine and using Sanchez at first. First basemen are flexible and able to stretch. That may be a Sanchez difficulty. That is a great experiment you had thought of.

Yeah, Stanton at 1B may be more realistic.

It's more than obvious the Yanx have and are suffering from a lack of quality pitching, both SP's and t/BP...
