C. Sabathia (6-9, 4.18)

vs.

C. Archer (6-15, 4.26)

Lineups to follow...

Yankees place Nathan Eovaldi on the 15-day DL with a Right Tendon injury and recall Luis Severino from Triple-A as per The Yes Network.

Gardner -LF
Ellsbury -CF
Rodriguez -DH
Teixeira -1B
McCann -C
Gregorious -SS
Castro -2B
Headley -3B
Hicks -RF

In my case losses to Tampa are just as infuriating as those to Boston. That being said I'm glad that the pen is in better shape tonight and hope the Sabathia can keep the team in the game. Glad to see Sevey get called back up, so he can get straight at MLB level. Got to get rid of Nate in the off season. Kick Archers ass tonight.

Payback to this last place team is overdue!

Archer and CC look like two ships passing in the night with Archer over his last 4 starts bringing his ERA down from 4.68 to 4.26 with 26.1 IP, 2.39 ERA/ 0.88 WHIP, 11K:9, 2 HR....
.....while CC over same span,
24.2 IP, 5.11 ERA/1.44 WHIP and lasting only 5.2 IP in his last two starts.
He's given up 6 HRs in last 18 IP covering his last 3 starts.

"A-Roid will be missed" OMFG! Media people are so full of shit! These idiots are
making Vegas bets on what will be A-Roids' last at bat. It becomes a three ring circus......
Who really cares?

These days in the real world when someone is let go they are counseled in a room close to the exit, not permitted to return to their workspace and are escorted to the door. I'd like to see the Yankees Security Unit escort that man off of the grounds. The only thing I care about is a Yankees W.

I'd like to see #13 K 4 out of 4 AB's. With each K, coming on the low outside ankle high balls, ...

This is how I will always recall A-Roid, a sucker fool for that pitch...and a Choke Artists in 90% of Playoffs, when he was needed most, proving he was not Mr Clutch, and lacked the intangibles of a born Winner, in lieu of cheat...... which all came out in the wash/dirty laundry...

good fkng riddance....!!!

Pitiful a post season sop as they've come, never the Mr. Clutch other great HOF players were in PS....
Batting Avg.
04 ALDS - .133
04 ALCS - .258 BFD, curse of the Bambino was lifted, says all, FU!!
05 ALDS - .071
07 ALDS - .267 BFD, He had 1 RBI, w/2 Runs, 4 Hits, 6 K's
09 THE CHEMIST GETS A PASS
010 ALDS - .273 BFD, 1 R, 1 RBI
010 ALCS - .190
011 ALDS - .111
012 ALDS - .125
012 ALCS - .111

#13 had more RBI's,

is Cuffs out of the Question....?

Lol, the bleacher creatures just gave one of the loudest roll calls in recent memory for Arod. He waved to them from the top step of the dugout.
Did anyone hear that on the "feed".....

Let the record show there's at least a couple of Yankee fans (real live local ones) who don't think Arod is the anti-Christ.

geezus one would think M. Kay has had his head up A-Roids ass this last 12 yrs, making him out to be someone he's never been, ....

gonna' have to find a radio feed, can't take Kay's bs much more....according to the homer, you'd think we're watching The Mick all over again.......fk A-Rod and FK Mike Kay.....fk you too Cone.....

CC has been pitching to a 6.62 ERA/ 1.58 WHIP since June 22 but fear not, *Joe The Genius Girardi (who's slowly but surely becoming a joke in Yankeeland, Sports Radio, TV) fear not, Joe is "obligated" to put the best team on the field will have no problem sending CC and Tex out there.....oh, I see Tex just struck out again with a runner on 2nd.

* Some of us who don't have selective memories or convenient amnesia remember the crap Girardi tried to pull when Posada was trying to break into the lineup and how he weaseled his way for the Yankee MGR job over Mattingly.

Brian McCann picking up where he left off the second half of last season. Clueless at the plate.

Even New York has its residents who aren't the sharpest knives in the Cabinet.

And fuk anyone who tries to insult our intelligence by saying Arod wasn't one of the greatest players of all time and I hope every player who has good things to say about Arod offering and helping them when they were toiling as young unfamiliar players will tell the haters where to get off.

Sometimes I get the feeling the Yankee fan Arod haters are only butt-boys for squeaky clean Jeter and can't come to grips with the fact that Arod was more gregarious, outgoing, personally better liked than Jeter on a personal man to man basis amoung the players and more of a "regular guy" than The Captain...lmao....lol, no really, I'm not having too much fun with this analyzation......and dont get excited about Jeter, I respect and appreciated him as much as ANY YANKEE FAN.

Makes the world go 'round....as vociferous as some may be in THEIR opinions....others have their very own opinions on the "big picture".

After the press conference on Sunday - Michael Young, the ex-Texas Ranger and one of their all time "good guy" good players tweeted that he might not have lasted five years without Arod showing him and helping him work.

There ya go....now scream and curse a little louder.

...I really thought McCann was going to be something. All things considered, I hope the Yanx and the Braves can work out something.

That's your opinion, you're most certainly entitled to it...and so are those fellas.
May be hard to believe, but some just didn't and don't get their shorts all twisted because a player/person "threatened" to sue a doctor for missing something on a MRI (hip), his union for lack of support ---> and the League as his lawyers state: that it is "absurd" for the league to hand out such a lengthy penalty to A-Rod when Ryan Braun -- who does have a positive test in his past -- was suspended only 65 games, calling the league's investigation "abusive and borderline illegal."

As Arod tested positive once (I believe), the low life punk Braun (failed twice) actually publicly accused and tried to blame his test results on an innocent fed ex (?) delivery guy.

There were 100 other names on that list and only Arod's name was leaked....grand jury testimony information is supposed to be sacred....hope it doesn't happen to you.

And regardless of his guilt, the "union" was silent as uncle Bud and MLB were paying off witnesses and buying information to target Arod....and that was mostly the issue....yep, he knew he was a user and he knew they may find the "goods" on him...but they were clearly SINGLING HIM out above other players, and THAT kind of thing usually gets the attention of a "Labor Union"....but they were very quite, as if they made a deal to sacrifice Arod....and I personally don't give two shits if he made himself look silly and immature trying to retaliate legally in defense of himself and the perceived witchhunt...and it was pretty darn close to being one.

By the way.....his lies weren't a crime.....lol, I don't believe he raised his hand before he said them....sorry, but I'm not losing sleep over that one either...my apologies.

Some hate him, some don't, and some just don't get too sanctimonious and all uptight over this.

CC you old dog, nice game, now go get that Cheeseburger in Paradise you earned it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey good news, Tyler Austin will be called up tomorrow with possibly another roster move or two.
Another kid who has done well at AAA getting a chance.
Yanks are kinda loading the team with "young players".

It's happening here now....very good news they'll be getting a taste of ML experience through the "dog days" and September. If this team can find a couple of solid youngsters who can pitch, the Yanks just might be alive and very well in the near future.
