Everything aside the Yankees and the fans have given Arod a very nice moment here. I would hope he doesn't ruin it but trying to go somewhere else to chase homers. He has avenues open to him to still have a life in baseball.

Yep, that man has been caught between the devil and the deep blue seas since this season began. I'll credit Joe G for being loyal to his players but when they consistently fail it does not look good. True others have flubbed the dub but A-rodham has been more than a huge distraction to this Franchise since '13. Girardi. is going to be one relieved individual that this shit is over.

He personally likes Arod and has said quite a few times he and Arod have been through alot together.
Girardi is feeling the pain and strain over the abruptness of how this came to an end and knows how much this inglorious end is stinging Arod probably as much maybe more than the PED issue because he was let go (cut) as a result of his baseball performance before his peers.
Kinda ironic....he served his penalty, cleansed his conscious and ate alot of humble pie by publicly commenting and acknowledging his mistakes and bad decisions ...returned to baseball and now had the plug pulled out on the thing he loves the most.
He has most definitely payed the price from both ends.
I think all of those who personally hate him should sleep well.

...I can't blame Girardi for the roster he's been given this year and actually think he's done a good job all things considered. Now that ARod's circus and distraction is over, maybe Joe will better able to help groom some of the farm youngsters.
...hopefully we get 2, maybe 3 youngsters to serve a regular starters and coupled with some off season FA signings and trades, the Yanx will be on their way back...already looking forward to next year.

...yeah, that's the way I feel about it too...I'll actually be able to enjoy the games more now...and sans Tex I'm also looking forward to next Spring.

There was ALWAYS a real possibility (plan) the Yanks were prepared and ready to go with the youngsters when if Arod, Beltran and Tex broke down and finally succumbed to old age...of course they were expecting the team to contend and the process was simply accelerated as they DID begin to fall out of it with Arod being the first to falter and "break down".
Bird would've already been on the team and getting playing time had he not gotten hurt.
Severino was already in the rotation at the start of the season.
There's a reason the Yanks didn't trade a single one of their better top prospects at last year's deadline...(remember the heat they took for it?, how soon some forget)....and it wasn't going to happen at this year's deadline and what is happening now is not some new last minute decision to "rebuild"....
Even if Cashman (and ownership lol) were fired for those bad contracts, the Yankee team needed to get "younger" and build their farm system, and this is exactly what is happening....lol, no need for any Monday morning quarterbacking or rewriting history, it may not fit the naysayer narrative, but this "plan" didn't happen over night.
It's become clear and obvious the "other teams" aren't the only ones capable of moving in young players.

2. Man did Joe Girardi hear it from the crowd yesterday. He was booed loudly during pregame introductions and again when he came out of the dugout to tell the umpires they were giving up the DH and putting Alex at third base in the ninth inning. Girardi said last weekend he would find a way to get A-Rod into as many games as he wanted this week, but it didn’t happen, and Alex admitted he was “disappointed” he didn’t get to start Tuesday and Wednesday. I was disappointed too because I wanted to see him play, and apparently I’m not alone. Girardi really wore it yesterday. Fans booed him like he was David Ortiz or something.
3. Now, that said, I’m becoming increasingly convinced the decision to sit Alex those two games earlier this week was made above Girardi. Girardi was asked about sitting A-Rod the last few weeks after yesterday’s game and he seemed genuinely upset about it. He got really emotional during his press conference. Here’s one little clip:"
