Who knows if they actually play both games as storms are expected again early. The 3 and 7 I'm sure is because they're going with a single admission double header.

Yanks are using Green as the "opener" for game 2
Top bullpeners are rested, but, we need a good game from German for the 1st game and this is kinda big outing for German just as it was for Paxton's last start, and he did pitch well.
I don't want to add extra pressure on German at this point of the season while Yanks currently have a decent div lead but if German can continue to progress and turn the corner the Yanks just might perhaps have a gem in their hands.
He has three good pitches but he MUST command his fastball and throw it more often at the TOP of the strike zone- that's where the catcher comes into play.

I sure wish we had Munson behind the plate handling this kid.

The 1-1 pitch to Judge called a strike wasn't just low, it was very low.
Turned the whole AB around instead of the count being 2-1 it became 1-2.
A perfect example of why MLB should go with the electronic strike zone whether Joe West likes it or not.
Is this an excuse if the Yanks lose?.. OF COURSE NOT- but we'll never know what may have happened if Judge was ahead on that count 2-1 instead of unjustly being put in a 1-2 hole.
Gotta go with the electronic strike zone, and it applies to the opposition also.
Enough of these blatant missed ball/strike calls by the home plate ump.
No room for the so called "human element" in this situation.
Balls and strike calls are the essence of every AB.
