Girardi gets bashed if he leaves a pitcher in...Girardi gets bashed if he takes a pitcher out...sorry folks, but as I've said before, it does not matter who pitches or plays if the players don't do their jobs.

Girardi sends employee to do job, employee fails, not on Girardi, now its up to his offense employees to close the gap, plenty of time lets see what happens.

...^^^thought they were gonna bounce back and tie it at 8-8 that inning...but only got 1...oh well, 4 more innings to right the ship.

Shreve strikes again why is that piece of Shit in there???

Shreve fails to get a 1.2.3 inning and gives up a bomb to a lightweight like Ploufe, why am I not surprised. Shreve should have been gone from this team he flat out sucks.

Clearly Girardi just giving lip service about fighting for the division until the end. Otherwise there's no way you're bringing in this bullpen trash of Holder and Shreve.

...down 4 runs with a 1-2 count, and Headley still trying to hit a 5-run HR.

... who is he supposed to bring in?

^^^Lil, the problem I have with today's strategy of using so many arms out of the BP is that no matter how talented they may be, the manager is banking on ALL of them being lights out on any given night...and to me, that just does not seem very realistic. I mean if any ONE of them has an off night, you stand a very good chance of losing the game.
...I think that's why you leave pitchers like Kluber, Sale, Kershaw, Seve, et al, in there longer because they're probably still better than anyone you might bring in from the pen.

It really pisses me off that the Red Sox are getting pummeled and The Yankees are sucking Balls.

...^^^not to mention that dogging the BP isn't really fair when out STARTER allowed 13 base runners and hit a batter and gave up 6 freaking runs in 4.2 innings.

...but yeah, I thought that if maybe we got to within 2 games of Boston after tonight they might feel the pressure and get swept by Houston.

As I posted the other day the Yankees are where they are beginning with those West Coast games to include 2-5 records against Houston, Cleveland, and Oakland. Had they gotten a few more wins during those times they be right up with or ahead of Boston. And though Houston may sweep Boston, the Yankees finish against another team they've had a hard time with. The division was gone long before this week though we were all hoping for better.

...or if they had somehow won 2 more games vs Boston, the Yanx would be leading the division right now.

It's just Free Falling... Tom Petty thank you again.

Lotta Pain, no gain, put this loss right on the inability of Gray, Holder, and Shreve to keep the hatches battened down.

Lots of one run loses and blown games this year for the Yankees. A few go their way and they're division winners. Lets get ready for the one game play in on Tuesday.

...Mess, I was thinking about that too...if/when the Sox clinch the division I hope it's tomorrow or Saturday instead of the last day of the season so we can rest up for Minnesota.
...I'd hate to burn up what BP we have on Sunday.

Still have Houston chasing Cleveland for best record, but it looks like Cleveland will draw wild card, Boston will play Houston on their turf. In the NL looks like Dodgers vs wild card. If that wild card is Arizona they're goanna have quite the series. Washington and Chicago, hope the Nats stomp their ass into a mud puddle.

Better off at this point. Let the weekend get anyone who needs it some rest. One and done is tough but it's better than nothing at all. Win or lose I just want to see a playoff series this year.

I can't believe we get a playoff game in 2017, thought we were still at least another year away.

Well, Girardi made his bed with his bullpen decisions that finished the job a ball less grey started. One game next week against a twins team we have always dominated in the past whether it was playoffs, seasons series etc including pummeling them recently. Regardless of whether we are one year ahead of time or not if we don't advance to the division series this year it will be very disappointing

What if a miracle happens and we are tied with Boston at the end of the Season??? I can't recall how that works.

Just saw a Sonny Gray post Game comment "I guess I was kid of all over the place" . Dumb fuck, Yankees sure could have used that game but thanks to Gray, Holder, and Shreve fucking up the Yankees got the loss. The man has really not done as probably many fans thought he'd do, I'd look very hard at trading him next year, his act is getting old fast.

We play boston at yankee stadium monday, winner goes to division series and loser plays tuesday in wildcard game. The worst of all worlds
