Tanaka vs. Chirinos

Lineups to follow...

Five straight losses to Tampa, law of averages has to change. Yankees back 6 with 10 losses to the two worst teams in the division. Line is on the Yankees but how many bombs will Tanaka give up. Top three in the line up were pretty much 0-fer last night that must change.

When does this team play as a unit and begin a lengthy winning streak? But in order for that to happen they
must win game one and then build on that. Let’s go Yankees.

35 years ago on this day in Yankee history the Pine Tar incident occurred. George Brett, Gaylord Perry and Dick Howser the Royals manager were ejected from the game.
Trivia question: - who was the fourth person on t/Royals 2b tossed??? Hint - this person was a coach for the Royals. Second hint- better known for his playing days with the Indians, the Tigers, and even had a short stint playing with the White Sox, the KC A's, bums and was released by the Yankees His last year in MLB as a player.

Someone anyone???

Trivia: The one & only Rocky Colavito!

After yesterday’s game, Boone did not like what the reporters were throwing at him. He totally looked
freaked with his rolling eyes and terse responses. Did not look his smiley self. Let’s see if this guy has a pair!

Sure as hell ain't a pair of nads.

Trivia: The one & only Rocky Colavito!

^^^^

Yes indeed the one & only Rocco Colavito. One of many boyhood Idols. Spring of 67: SF vs Cleveland, Rocco was a fan favorite & made himself readily available in acquiring autographs. (1st of 3 occassions).

Rocco Domenico Colavito...the only MLB Player whose autogragh I obtained twice in one Year, in 2 different cities; on 2 different Teams- LA Bums & NY Yanx. A class act..

Kyle Higashioka being called up to replace Sanchez.

I think this is a cop out......we shall see.

^^^

I think so as well. I'm beginning to think he's as much a headcase as Montero, as mentioned earlier....

In my opinion I would not hesitate to throw Sanchez's name in the trading block. I cannot foresee Sanchez ever returning to his rookie form. As long as Boone as the manager Sanchez will forever be a POS primadonna. The only quality he has worth a shit is his cannon arm. He can no longer to hit, you sure as hell cannot block ball and cannot run...

Time for us to break out of stagnation! I bought 10 mega millions tickets and the borough I work in bought 63. I joined that! 550 million so far. If I win, I would purchase a percentage of Yankee ownership and attempt to lure replacements for Gray, German and possibly Tanaka. Hope you all get a chance to buy some tickets too.

MEANWHILE...…...Boston is playin the O's in BAL. I hope the O's can side track them.

I best remembered Colavito as an Indian & Tiger. Dude could bop the long ball then. Knew a guy when I belonged to the American Legion who was a huge Cleveland Fan. Had to put up with his shit after the Yankees lost to them in '07. Dude was a Colavito Fan and when he was in his cups on a regular basis I heard about how he met Rocky Colavito. Don''t know what happened to him I ceased being an American Legion Member never saw him again. I always suspected had one in the grave and the other on a banana peel. Those late '50's Cleveland, Detroit, and White Sox Teams had some pretty good ball players. I was stationed on my third tour in Korea when that game was played, saw some of the clips on Armed Forces Korea News. The one game I do remember from that year was Lowenstein hitting a bomb off of Gossage that turned their season around.
