The last time Cessa pitched against Tampa he threw a good game with one minor and one major problem. He gave up a two run dinger (minor) and the offense sat on its can (major). Hope he gets better results tonight.

Then again Sheffield did not look like anything special and gave up a bomb in the Futures All-Star Game. Never saw him throw anything faster than 93 miles per hour, batting practice...

Right now the Yankee Clutch is Andujar, getting Toe back is a step in the right direction. Those two can turn into a dynamic duo to spark this team. Fuck what Stephen A. Smith said, this team still needs to play for the division in spite of the follies of Bubbles Boner and Cashman. Cessa pitched a nice game against Tampa a while back but got no support from the offense. So get out there and kick some ass tonight Pin Stripers.

As badly as I have badmouthed Cessa, you called it right on the mark Michael... He looked pretty in TB allowing 4 Hits, 0 BB's; over 5.1-IP, & a 2 run HR. As you also noted the offense was anemic in his last game; giving Cessa 1 run a SF Fly, 4 hits, 1 walk & 7 SO's...
He looked great against Baltimore over six innings allowing zero earned runs. O's offense was not as bad as their W/L record...
During the Boston Massacre on 8 / 2; Cessa was touched up for five earned runs over 3.1 Innings pitched. Who wasn't shell shocked in Boston; both the offense defense and both SP &RP's...
If the Yanks can score some runs, make contact, and get more bases hits than strikeouts, Cessa could have this in the bag. He's not an overpowering strikeout pitcher, he relies on his defense puts the ball in play, and has got to keep his base on balls to a minimum. IF- All that can happen He may be the number 5 SP???

I don't like Amsinger myself, I'd be willing to bet plenty of those ball players would like to take his ass outside for a good whacking. Rose in my view is a mealy mouth punk partnered with Dumbass Millar so he resembles a pseudo-intellectual. I'd like to kick his ass myself. "Quick Pitch" excepted I have pretty much eliminated watching MLB Network.
