M. Tanaka (13-4, 2.97)

vs.

A. Cobb (1-0, 3.06)

Lineups to follow...

Line on the Yankees, could be a tough assignment with Cobb on for Tampa. The Yankees have the right guy on the mound tonight. Go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!

Gardner -LF
Ellsbury -CF
Sanchez -C
McCann -DH
Teixeira -1B
Gregorious -SS
Torreyes -3B
Williams -RF
Solano -2B

I hope to hell I get to see this game tonight. Hope Tank is feeling up to the task in the Sauna/spa that is the Trop, bet its hot/humid as hell tonight??? Let's Kick some Arse Yankeeeeeeeeeessss.....~~!!!

Cobb's been had, cooked right off the stalk... or do you prefer 'creamed corn'...

How about Goober & Clod getting on base. It's about f'kin time.
.................and of course, the Sanchise does his thing. I can see his name & number
on millions of Yankee fans' tee shirts.

How do you give up 4 dingers in one inning?

Last day of the '11 season the Yankees had a 7-0 lead on Tampa and lost 8-7. That same day the Orioles beat Boston and the Tampa Team went to the playoffs instead of Boston. Sure don't need a repeat of that. They show reolays of that Yankees loss on a regular basis.

If I were 9 years old, I know Gary Sanchez is my hero. And I couldn't wait to get to the school yard
or baseball field and imitate my hero behind the plate and at bat. Kids today have a new hero.

: : : : ...^^^

ditto.

I'd love to see Castro increase his b'avg. He's capable of hitting .300+ in YS, if he can do it in Wrigley, he can do it in the Bronx . The Power Hitting he's at his career high tied at 69 RBI's, has more HR's than any other year, yet ...,

I want to see most local Washington H.S. players or local NY kids, grow up to be Yanx, or any kid grown up a Yanx fan, ie Corey Seager or his idol Derek Jeter. I don't see Castro going anywhere soon, hoping he remains a Yanx fixture; since he's signed thru 2020. A gold glove would not be asking too much of any Yankee by expectations of Yankx greatness from all....

The Yankees come down to St Pete city,
Kicking that ass till their shoes got shitty!

Yankees socked it to 'em this evening.

Yankees 2.5 out of Wildcard, go with the same Lineup and sweep the Locals.

If they could've won just one game against the Red Sox they would be one out in the loss column.

...anyone else see Bautista's latest "bat flip"?...this POS is batting .230 but acts like he's a bonafide super star...the dumbass should have taken the Jays contract offer before the season began.

Saw that flip and Donaldsons errors on Quick Pitch this AM. I recall Bautista being on the high horse over his contract early this season indicating Toronto should be so lucky as to have him sign. I'd think now that Toronto would be more interested in Encarnation. The Yankees are pending a prime opportunity to knock the Jays Pennant hopes for a loop. Lots of strange shit happening at this time of the year.

...^^^ Yeah, if the Yanx can't make the PS, I'd at least like to see them ruin someone else's season.

...like you said, you just never know what might happen...starting tomorrow, the Yanx last 10 games (last 6 games are at home) are all against Toronto, Baltimore, and Boston..if they can somehow finish by winning 7 out of those last 10 games they may just make the PS.

...even after giving up all those bombs last night, Tanaka now leads the AL in ERA.
