I will be anxious watching The Big Maple pitch against these Sux sluggers. These September games
are the actual previews of their playoff appearances.
 
Among other things, the firing of Dave Dombrowski, will fall under “What have you done for me lately”.
One thing for sure......he will not be out of a baseball job for long.
 
On the firing of Dombrowski I say to Boston bad move. Dombrowski has been pretty sharp wherever he's served. Always in the ball park watching the games jotting notes and contemplating moves. Ask Grady Little and Terry Francona about success in Boston with the screwing that followed. AS Cage posted Dombrowski will not be out of a job long. I wanted to see the Yankees sweep this series but not to happen. A win tonight wins the series and that will be cool. May killer instinct prevail sending a "you don't fuck with the New York Yankees " message. Last nights ESPN Crew was all about Boston Problems as opposed to Yankees success. Lets see what kind of BS we'll hear from Costas tonight!!!!!!!!!!!

All I could think about when I read this news earlier was “Fuck....here comes Stanton.” Hopefully his time away has healed his “injuries” and made him smarter with the bat.

Vasreguregitation, correction~ Verducci (what's the difference) is emulating Cost-us (peace of mind), with his comparison of GT to Devers and back again....

Let's compare GT to DiMaggio instead.
But ya' can't compare Devers to Ted Williams (Mr. Sears) or Yaz (the Spud Farmer)...

I'll stick with "Fuck....here comes Stanton"... for now; until he proves me wrong 5 yrs from now, (hopefully on another team, unless he can impersonate his MVP self)....

Paxton looked incredibly good.

This was the 8th shutout for the Yankees this year.

Trashman earns his nickname this time of year with Gearrin and Lyons.
The latter closed the game.

It was a trip to see a picture of Mickey Mantle in 1953 chewing bubble gum and blowing a bubble.
The Mick had to formally apologize to everybody. Just goes to show what was once proper, has been disregarded and disrespected over time .

Clearly the bosox are in shock and dismay. Their ship has sunk in the harbor with Dombrowski chained to the wheel.

Heya Steinbrenner boys ~ this is your chance to hire a real GM. Maybe Dombrowski could talk Jim Leyland out of retirement one more time for the 3rd or 4th time.
