Yep he made the pitches but sometimes dame fortune has to get in there and help. And the way shit has gone for this team the only thing you want to see is no baserunners. Giradis decision to load the bases was ballsy but at the same time risky.

If I didn't know any better I'd suspect that Ellsbury might be sulking cause he lost his job. I'd pick Wade over Ellsbury in late inning pinch running situations.

thats a great win, this team continues to impress.. all have done a good job. as far as the relationship between joe & his players, agree he is loyal to his guys, but i don't agree with how he is dealing with ellsbury.. do not think the yanks go far with gardner or hicks, and with judge being an umproven player PS, you got to have ellsbury's expereince... now i know ells has not been on top of his game, no excuses, imo, joe is embarassing him, and he is handling it well, he doesn't complain and when called on he shows who the better man is.... how do you keep a guy out of line up vs his former team?

In this area NESN had game coverage. Don't know if Eckersly did any "act polishing" but I though the man did an excellent job of calling the shots. He's obviously intelligent, having played the game well knows it, and to me called things like he saw them spot on. I found his comments and analysis of players and situations on both teams to be equally fair.
