One of the most soul crushing regular season loses. Yes, the players need to perform. I would never question that. But, this manager has no feel for the game and needs to go.

German pitching best game of his life. In the 8th 1 hit and 1 walk with 10k’s and this friggin moron Boone takes him out! AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Shut up Kay. Can’t wait to hear how you defend Boone after this one you Boone asslicker!!

Take the Day off reflect on your transgressions and Good luck against The Rays losers.

Yeah, some of the players could certainly do better and play smarter but we have no leadership from top to bottom...Hal has no balls at all and lacks the competitive fire that his Father did, Cashman has never constructed a championship team of his own doing), And Boone is just simply in way over his head. The batting coaches offer no help and neither do the pitching coaches.

Hal obviously isn't going anywhere but Cashman is useless and for the most part has been given a blank checkbook and needs to go...I can't really fault Boone for not being a great field manager but he simply should have never been given the job in the first place, but regardless, again, he still needs to go.

Haven't really though much about a replacement for Cashman but I still think Buck Showalter would be a smart move...then again even if he we offered the job, after the way he was dismissed after the "95 season, I wouldn't blame him if he told the Yanx to kiss his ass.

Instead of hirng a bulldog who would lead the team and rock the boat when needed Cashman chose a Poodle who could be trained to do his (Cashmans) bidding. These are difficult times for lon term Yankee Fans accustomed to competition and success.

Yes he Did and this is a Team that should be winning these games.

I agree with Ron. Boone should've never been hired in the first place. It's analytics on steroids with no feel for the actual players or the game.

The problem I have with analytics exactly what you touched on, which is acknowledging the "flow" of the game. If a pitcher has completely throttled the opponent for several innings, to an extent you can throw away the binder and/or the pitch count. Whenever the manager arbitrarily brings in a reliever or a group of relievers, the odds are that at least one of them will not have "it" that day...which is exactly what we saw yesterday.

But Boone compounded that initial faux pas by continuing to allow Lasagna to pitch to batters even after it was obvious to everyone except him, that Lasagna was missing over the fat part of the plate and the Sox were hitting rockets off of him..having good stuff means nothing if the pitcher has no control and is not hitting his spots. But to be fair, the defense also spit the bit yesterday...Judge would have likely made both plays in RF that Allen butchered...and IMO, Torres could have easily nailed the eventual go ahead run at 3B on an easy grounder, but threw to 1B instead.
