Torres has been making a LOT of lazy mistakes lately. Just kind of doing the “ole” with balls thrown to him, playing half speed on defense. Imagine if we had a REAL manager that would discuss that with him. I noticed it in game 1 of this series and kind of figured it was due to the score, but it has continued all series long, even with the score being close early on.

What I have noticed about our SP during this “funk” is that they ALL seem to be falling off the mound after their pitch. Righties falling off to the left, lefties to the right. They also seem to be throwing across their bodies with their deliveries just looking totally out of whack. They are throwing it seems like instead of pitching if you would.

One of many things I liked about Pinella. I recall a SI story with Donnie BB, talking his Lou picked up a bat to show #23 what he was doing differently with his stance, swing and transfer of weight. to cause a short slump he was in, to turn it all back around.
