Game Thread Yankees vs. Royals 5/26/15 7:05PM

And the Yankees wake up tomorrow on May 27th- in First Place.

As fot Warren, I can't even believe I'm hearing questions from the "media" whether or not he returns to the bullpen if or when Tanaka returns...are they crazy?- he"s just pitched 3 straight games going more than 6 innings in each of them and hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in either game.
Last three starts - 19.2 IP, 7 ER.

Has any other Yankee SP pitched as well as Warren over their last three starts?

Oh well.....he helped pitch us back into 1st place.

so the yankees are beating the best and losing to the worst, what does that mean?

As inconsistent as the Eastern Division is we might see two or three teams tie the top spots at .500. That would really put a wrench into playoff plans. Trade deadline this year may be more important than we think. Still hearing about how Boston has all these "trade chips" but no action taken

The first team that puts together a 7-8 game winning streak will take the division.

...that's precisely why I'm not so confident in the Yanx' PS chances....500 record certainly won't garner a W/C spot...with that many mediocre teams fighting it out, winning the division is gonna be tough.

...ahh, just as I predicted...2 game win streak = pompoms.

Okay, fair enough, let's not get "excited" about the team bouncing back from losing 10 of 11(?) and taking the first two of three from the team who came into the series with the best record in the league.

Betcha there were plenty "out there" who were salivating at the thought of the Yanks sinking towards the bottom depths of the division with KC showing up on the schedule as the Yanks just dropped 10/11.
lol.....didn't happen...in fact, the best case situation has just occurred -
- Yanks came out of the first two games with KC emerging in 1st place and I love it.

Now is not the time to twiddle your thumbs nodding your head in knowingly accepted fashion as if you expected or weren't concerned over losing 10/11 as we near the 1/3 pole of the race.
Yanks have righted the ship, yes, with these last two wins at this point of this latest, newest "crisis", and that is important.

IMHO

Sorry but winning two in a row doesn't come close to righting the ship. Now if they can go on to say winning 8 out 10 that would be more like it.

...you said that before...and you were just as preposterously wrong then as you are now.

...yeah, like I said, it was assumed and even predicted that you'd come out from under your hole and pound your chest once they won a couple of games...2 game win streak evidently cures "lock jaw".

I can easily foresee, both Wild Card Teams coming out of the AL Central, with the AL East Team Pennant winner, having a .540 win pctg. (Maximum)

If the trend continues, we have all 3 Teams in the AL Central, with the Tigers in 3rd place, and a .574 win pctg, to the Yanx .522......

both divisions will beat on each other until more teams hit mediocrity, IMHO......

(and I want to be proven wrong at year end, I want to see the Yanx with another ring as bad as anyone else, tho' it looks desperate at times, and luck at others, with occasional bursts of Brilliance???....)
