Biggie vs. Berrios

Lineups to follow...

Let the Yankee whooping over the twins continue. Funny how playing in weather where you can feel your hands again has resulted in the Yankee offense exploding. Can't wait to get boston back in here and kick their asses back to bean town.

Line tonight is on the Yankees but I'd have to give the pitching nod to Berrios. If Biggie can hold up and keep the game tight, the Yankees will win by the sheer weight of power.

Gardner -LF
Judge -RF
Gregorious -SS
Stanton -DH
Sanchez -C
Hicks -CF
Walker -1B
Andujar -3B
Torres -2B

An-just-Du-it-Jar's bat hath awakened, may he go where few have ever. Once Torres finds his groove, we could have a incredible Dynasty for years to come, a modern day Murders Row-
Once the SP/RP Staff is built, IF so, this team could soon rival the 98 Yanx, or is that just wishful thinking...
The Judge
Stanton?
Sir DiDi
Sanchise
Andujar
Torres (in due time, a can't miss)
Bird or Austin
Hicks (can only get better)

Andujar already doing what only DiMaggio accomplished in a short span, hope the rabid pace continues indefinitely, (tho' we know otherwise). It's going to be interesting seeing how opposing Pitchers try to adjust to M.A...

Now, IF Trashman can have a few secret (Master/Apprentice) meetings with Epstein, he might learn a few things, like how to build a Pitching Staff...

Are 10-0 when allowing 4R-or-fewer, the only remaining
undefeated team in such games.

Sunday's game had a first-pitch temperature of 62° F,
their warmest outdoor game this season...
13 of their 16 outdoor games have been 53° F or cooler at first pitch

Miguel Andújar
went: 2-for-5 with a double and a solo HR in Monday's win vs.
Minnesota to extend his career-best extra-base hitting
streak to seven games

during the streak, is hitting:
  • .517/.533/1.172 (15-for-29) with 8R, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 3HR and 8RBI...
  • Is tied with Pittsburgh's Corey Dickerson for the longest XBH streak in the Majors this season...
  • is the third XBH streak of at least 7G by a Yankee since 2010; Aaron Judge (8G) and Greg Bird (7G) began simultaneous streaks on 9/20/17.
  • Per Elias at 23 years, 53 days on Monday, became the
  • second-youngest player in Yankees history to record an XBH in seven consecutive games (Joe DiMaggio 1937)

  • Is the second Yankee (and sixth player all- time) to collect at least 14 extra-base hits through 19 career games (10 doubles, 1 triple, 3HR), joining Joe DiMaggio (16-XBH)—Reference: ***
  • joins DiMaggio (12 doubles) and Seattle's Rod Craig (10 doubles in 1979- 80) as the only three players in Major League history to
  • collect at least 10 doubles in his first 19G.
  • Leads AL rookies in hits (18), doubles (8), XBHs (12) and total
  • bases (37)...
  • is tied for second with 11RBI and is third with 9R.
  • Is tied for the overall AL lead in doubles.
  • Trails only Atlanta's Ozzie Albies (16) in XBHs among
  • Major League players under 24 years old.

ALL RISE: RF Aaron Judge:

  • has reached base safely in 27 consecutive home games (since 9/3/17), the longest streak of his career and the third-longest at the current Yankee Stadium.

  • is hitting .330/.480/.830 (31-for-94) with 31R, 5 doubles, 14HR, 35RBI, 28BB and 28K during the streak...
  • has at least 1RBI in 17 of his last 22 home games.
  • Leads the AL with 20BB and a .469 OBP...is tied for third with 20R and ranks sixth with a 1.080 OPS.
  • Has at least 1BB in nine of his last 10G.
  • Has reached base safely in all 18 games this month...istied with Colorado's Charlie Blackmon for the second-longest on-base streak in the Majors in 2018, behind Philadelphia's Odúbel Herrera (19G, active)...
  • is the third-longest on-base streak of his career (32G, 26G).

Has lowered his strikeout rate to just 24.5%
(24K/98PA) in 2018 (MLB avg.: 22.9%)...Judge posted a 30.7% rate in 2017 and a 44.2% rate in 2016.

HEATING UP: 1B Tyler Austin
  • set a career high with 4RBI on Mon. vs. Minnesota...is 7-for-20 (.350) with 3R, 3 doubles, 2HR and 7RBI in 5G on the homestand.
  • Leads AL rookies in HRs (4), runs (11) and RBI (13)...
  • is second in XBHs (9) and third in hits (16).

LET THE BATS DO THE WORK: Yankees batters
lead the Majors with 127 runs, 6.05 runs per game and 1.52 HR per
game (32HR/21G)... share the Major League HR lead with
Colorado and Los Angeles-AL.

Marks the third time since 1957 that they have scored at
least 127R through their first 21G (2003–151R; 1988-127R).

Have scored at least 7R in eight of their last 10 wins...
in 2018, are averaging 8.17 runs/game in their 12 wins and
3.22 runs/game in their nine losses.

Okay Rob enough Manifestos for awhile. :rotfl:

I'm plagiarizing the hell out of Yankees. Mlb.com documents PDF

Now those boys can write much more beyond manifestos, lol. As much data as they produce I bet they burn up a keyboard at least once a week...

^^^^^I hear Trashman is taking an Introductory Course “On How to Draft
Pitching Talent” .......without fucking up a team’s (Yankees) pipeline going
on two decades!
( It takes some people sometimes never to pass this course)

We're all pulling for Bird but I'd have to say that the Yankees are not hurting with Tyler Austin in there . The man probably knows his shit is in the wind when Bird gets back but he's done one hell of a job.

What I am really liking about these Yankees, on any given day or night anyone in
this lineup can put the screws on opponent pitchers. Thank goodness Ellsbury is
an injured tool who’ll be earning his money on the pines.....to me, this dude is no Yankee,
both on the field and off.

Looks like Biggie is huffin and puffin with a run in and a runner on third. He may not get past the
4th inning at this rate. Boone, get the bullpen ready. Another outing where the starter may not get
into the 7th inning!

Come on Biggie you can't get through 1 Inning without a Run.

I haven't seen t/Attendance # yet, but YS looks 2/3rds empty...

We are living in the 21st Century and yet, the Yankee organization has outdone themselves by setting up a
class system to watch the game live. All corporation seating plans are from first base to third base on the
lower level....in other words, those who cannot afford these seats (as most cannot), sit in the bleachers.....
that is where the real fans are! Not like it used to be.

Tbe new Core 6 ??
Judge
Sanchise
Torres
Andujar
JMo
Severino

Wonder how Bird/Austin will playout over time, anything can happen in BB...
