Headley battered 2nd last night & got 2 hits so maybe he's snapping out of his funk. I would have flip flopped Bird & Young though.
 
Another lefty going tonight so keeping the lineup free of back to back left handed hitters.
 
We are long overdue for a laugher, maybe tonight could be the night.
 
Gardner is turning into as much of an automatic out as Drew was.

He's a moronic constant rerun all the time now. Watches two perfectly good pitches and is always in a two strike count.

He did have two hits last night. Unfortunately, he's a singles hitter at this point who will pop the occasional homer. Couple that with awful defense this year and his contract is looking worse and worse.

I thought so as well but then considered his history with the Sox which might by him another year to turn things around. Also, read on one of the Chicago sites that the GM is behind him.
 
these 2 teams are puttin on some show for the kids, i have never seen 2 teams make so many mistakes in 1 game, and its only the 5th

Especially when you compare his #s to someone like Solarte who also would have been about 12M cheaper. Another great signing by Cashman.
 
Houston is heading towards missing the playoffs completely. The Twins, Indians and Angels all in play for the second wc spot.
