If there's a way the Yankees can unload Gardner they have to do it. This is the 2nd year in a row where he hasn't even hit his weight over the last 2 months of the season.
2014 - August (213) September (167) = 190 average
2015 - August (208) September (178) = 193 average
man o man, torre wasn't much better a coach, but u never saw his hitters swing at bad pitches
Another Spectacular Shit Session by the Yankee pen.
You think the fact that they were better hitters had something to do with it? Clearly you didn't think before typing that one out. Not to mention you had one last shot before hitting the post reply button.
being disciplined at plate doesn't necessarily hike the average, and just because you swing at a strike doesn't mean you get a hit, it just means you were disciplined at plate.. these guys are swingin at balls in the dirt, over their heads puttin themselves in a hole.
in the field they can't even execute a simple run down, throwin balls on routine plays in the dirt, over a head, losin grip on ball, its all about discipline, and torre got it into his players, where tonto can't

Synopsis: Biggie gives up a bomb to 209 hitter Beckham, offense cannot surmount a 2 run deficit, two out no one on and it takes 3 relievers to get the final out surrendering an additional out in the process, the Ellsbury & Gardner continue poopr performance against Robertson. Jesus Christ, the members of this team need to confess their sins to the Pope.
When 2/3rds of your lineup is hitting under 25o you really can't explain it much.

the line up is wrong to begin with, then the rest dictates itself... 1 inning a game the yanks have to win a game, not giving yourself much of a chance!
...wait, first you say, "being disciplined at plate doesn't necessarily hike the average"
...then you say, "its all about discipline"
...nice contradiction.
The lineup was wrong why? Post what your lineup would've been.
how bout drawin a walk & doin a little hit & run once in awhile?, u guys r puttin averages on here of 1st half of season vs 2nd, we see its gone down tremedously, so when that happens , wouldn't you as coach try something different to create offense? ahhhhhhhhhh i am wasting my time

ack ack, member him from "one crazy summer"
and no freekin nite off nonsense, and at this point i dont care if its lefty or righty they face[/QUOTE
Of course you don't think it matters but against a lefty who would want for left handed batters in a row once the lineup turns over?
