...yes, they would have to surrender a draft pick. And because of roster rules they have to be careful of what players they add/subtract.

...I don't see them adding a full time 1Bman because of the possibility of if/when Tex returns.
 
I'm 100% positive once the trade deadline comes and teams don't need to forfeit a pick, there will be a feeding frenzy for both Morales and Drew... and I'm sure the Yankees will be in on 1 or both of them...

...but if Morales and Drew hold out that far into the season they'll still be out 1/2 a year's salary that they can't get back.

Keep in mind though Steve that even though I'm sure they're both staying in shape neither of them had the benefit of spring training so it may take a while before they get in game shape.
 
...I don't see the Yanx signing either, unless Jeter or Tex go down with season ending injuries.

...how many other teams who have the money and are hurting for over priced SSs and 1Bmen?...none that I know of...if the Steins desired either (and I don't think they do), there's no way they'd be out bid.

I agree. And I think we can also both agree that neither Drew or Morales will be wearing pinstripes anytime soon.
 
...yeah, and IMO, neither player distinguished themselves as upper tier players who warrant multi-year $15+ Mil per year salaries.

...yup, Boras is screwing the pooch here, again. He's trying to make a case that there's some sort of collusion or plot against his clients (Drew and Morales) but he fails to realize that he's scaring teams away even more by doing this.
 
This bullshit is all on Boras. If it weren't for him both Drew & Morales would be already hard at work with there perspective teams. Instead they're unemployed & losing money.
 
Let Drew play Batboy for all I care, or polish the teams shoes....well maybe let him hit a bit in BP, maybe.

As for Scott F'n Boras, he can scrub toilets in the clubhouse, after he does the rest of the stadium.....not allowed in the clubhouse during a game, or when players inhabit it...!!!
