Going forward I see Torres and DJ at 2nd and third. Don’t know if a shortstop in the system is currently ready or they take a shot at one of the free agent ones. As for me I could live with some kind of Velasquez/wade platoon at short till the kid color is ready

Trevor Story, Corey Seager, Carlos Correa will be FAs next year...so will Javy Baez but I wouldn't care to have him in pinstripes.

In the interim, I'm fine with Velazquez at SS...he's solid on defense, provides speed on the base paths, usually makes contact at bat...and plays the game with passion.
