Yanx' future SS ?

I still think we're going to be stuck with Drew.

...I seriously doubt Drew is the starting SS opening day...then again, not much surprises me anymore...I get disappointed every now and then, but I seldom get surprised.

Let's see the reports after he faces live pitching.

The more I read about Cashman not going after any big names the more I fear that Drew will be out there on opening day. Like I've been saying, just a bad feeling that any day now we're going to read, "Yankees resign Stephen Drew".

...rick, you can take pretty much anything any GM says right now, with a grain of salt, including Cashman. No GM in his right mind, including Cashman, is going to tip his hand as far as his real intentions or plans are...it just doesn't make sense.

...we go through this every year at this time...the rumor mill du jour is in full swing. Players, Agents, Owners, GMs are all playing a game of poker, and they all have their "poker faces" on...always been that way, always will be.

...well, he's only 19 but some MLB will have to roll the dice and sign him if they even want to find out. People said the same thing about Cespedes, Puig, Abreu, et al...Besides, Cuba's teams and pitchers are as good as most anything he'd likely face in the minors.

I have already set my expectations (thinking as a positive Yankee fan) for when,if the Yanks sign Drew.

It's almost as easy as expecting him to put up similar numbers to last year-
With a full ST behind him and with him looking to resurrect his career, I would NOT be surprised to see him (playing 81 games at YS) put up numbers along the lines of- .245/.325/.410 with 12-16 HRs and good defense.

Rumor Mill De Jour, I like that

And that's the truth, and I'm sticking to it.....:tiphat:

PS- I'd love to see the Yanx sign this young Cuban...!!!

I don't care if they sign Ricky Ricardo, anyone but Drew.

Just back from my vacation and I will put my 2 cents in. It won't be Drew. I think it will be someone through a trade but have no idea who.
