Yi Scores 22 in Olympic Warm-Up
July 4, 2008, 2:22 pm Yi Jianlian scored 22 points and grabbed 8 boards as Team China beat a group of Australian All-Stars, 89-73, in Wuxi, China, Friday. The game was part of a two-game Olympic warm-up for the Chinese. The teams play again on Sunday in Ningbo. Yi is then expected to fly to the U.S. for his Nets’ physical, photo shoot, and press conference midweek. He’ll return to China a few days later.

I am not going to lie, I am excited to have Yi on the Nets.

He told the press he would have had 30 points and 15 boards if he teammates had passed him the ball.

awesome, his first game since the trade. must have been happy and excited.

See he's developing, hope he doesn't have the pass me the ball attitude here in the US.

Hope he does, that guy can score all he wants. He also plays D.

Please show me highlights!
I never get to watch my fellow countrymen play since I'm in here in SoCal....

Just finished watching the game. The CNT offensive is ugly, sloppy. Yi was too big athletic for the Aussies, had maybe 4 dunks and shot a 3 pointer. Not sure how much of this will translate to improvement in the NBA game. Yi looked a little stronger, but didn't see him dribble or rebound any better than before. He dunked when received passes in the paint, but his dribble post was weak, yet he was fouled a lot.

Overall, his 22/8 performance was not dominant, but enough to be the best and most complete bigman on the court.

His teammate Wang ZhiZhi was excellent on shooting, yet his defense and rebounding was terrible.

No, would have been awesome if Bogut played.

Aussies did well, but they lost it during the beginning of 4th Q. Turnovers and missed shots.

were there any nba players playing for the Aussies, and did any nba player guard Yi?

I believed that Yi Jianlian's performance can let the fan like on him

Now that I've seen the game, it was a joke i wouldn't call it a game. The only thing that i saw was a nice touch on some shots, but way to easy for Yi. Any US player could've averaged those numbers. Those players make the Knicks look good. nuff said.

Welcome to what Chinese fans have been watching for years.

CNT's offense sucks...yao wasn't play...its just australia nation team B...their real national team A is warming in Europ...

Yi got more confidence though...body contact still not enough to fight against ANT B,don even mention nba PFs...need to learn more from dirk or KG...

This wasn't the Australian National Team, it was the all-pro team from Australia's pro league
