You put Draymond on this team and we're up 3-0

So who's the nearest thing to Draymond Green in the college ranks?

(I'd also settle for the next Dennis Rodman, or a sane Ron Artest.)

Replace Lillard with Jrue Holiday or Mike Conley and were up 2-1.

Fuck Draymond Green. We don't need him.

If you put healthy Nurk, healthy Kanter, and healthy Damian Lillard on this team, we're up 2-1, minimum.

Really? I think this team has proven they are mentally tough this year. You dont win that Denver series without being mentally tough.

I think there is a difference between just being mentally and physically fatigued, vs being mentally and/or physically weak.

This team is running on fumes man.
Exactly. Mentally soft is the opposite of what the Blazers showed against OKC and Denver.

But Im a moron and cant figure shit out.

That convo cracked me up. HAHA

Dude twisted my words and then started insulting me for no reason.

When Lillard is taken away as a scorer, Portland has nothing else it can pivot into, so it just ends up spinning its wheels in a bunch of inefficient actions. Stotts isn't a creative mastermind, but without more play-making and shooting around Lillard, his hands are somewhat tied anyway and Portland will continue to be a good team that racks up wins against other good teams, mediocre teams and bad teams but gets jammed when they face great teams in the playoffs.

that's the thing that matters most

once the Dame-Aldridge team was broke-up/dismantled, the Blazers became a one-man band. Dame and a supporting cast that all drafted off the guy in front.

4 years ago, Aminu and Harkless became the starting forwards. 4 years ago it was apparent that Portland really needed a major upgrade at one of those positions. 4 years later, Aminu and Harkless are still the starting forwards

in the 2016 playoffs, the Warriors beat the Blazers 4-1 in the 2nd round when they focused their defense on stopping Lillard and forced the other Blazers to beat them. The other Blazers failed. 3 years later, the Warriors are doing the same damn thing to Lillard and the other Blazers are failing again. The need for an answer was painfully obvious 3 years ago and the same need is still there

Stotts has certainly had his failures in schemes and adjustments, but Stotts can't scheme CJ into Paul George or adjust Harkless into Kawhi or replace Aminu with Blake Griffin. There has been a failure of management to address the roster flaws that were clear and apparent in every one of the last 4 seasons...IMO
