You apparently don't understand how journalism works. A reporter can often get a source to talk only if he promises anonymity. Without anonymity, players aren't as likely to tell you the truth.

From what I read, he didn't even name an anonymous source.

But "journalism" like this is frustrating. Because then some east coast national writer will post some bullshit saying that a Blazers "insider" claims there is unrest in the Portland locker room. This guy makes up more shit than any writer around.

Regardless of the merit of that particular criticism, the problem with Quick is he likes to drop vague implications into stories with lines like, "But there is some concern inside the locker room that Lillard is not held to the same accountabilities that other players are." That's bald-faced rabble rousing.

Won't get any disagreement from me there

As I read the first post, saying that the Oregonian is criticizing Lilliard, my instant reaction was, This is revenge for Lilliard tweeting, "Who?" about Canzano.

The Oregonian doesn't like to be slighted. It thinks it runs the team. The last time a player rebelled against it, the paper set up an interview, then ran with one of his angry quotes, "Just cut the check," and destroyed him with that one quote.
