YOUR draftee comparisons

I would be absolutely tickled pink if we could land Crabbe with a late first or early 2nd. I've been on that guys nuts for a grip.

Apparently Oladipo should be the #1 overall pick.

He's shorter than both Jordan and Wade, though, and has nowhere near their wingspan, either.

Oladipo = Harold Minor/Roy Marble :)

You're trippin. Oladipo will be a multiple All Star.

Not all that comparable. Same height (1/2" diff), Brook has longer arms, Cody has higher vert--identical max reach (11' 11.5"). Cody's much faster, but I don't think he uses his athleticism much when he plays.

Brook has much better touch on his jumper, while Zeller is primarily a footwork guy. Using his craft advantage instead of his size advantage like Brook does.

I'm not sold. He came out of nowhere his junior year, and is undersized and without the handle of a Jordan or Wade. I have already posted that I wouldn't mind him if the deal was right, though. He's a great athlete and would be a huge upgrade over Barton as a 6th man next year.

Oladipo had 3 20+ games in terms of points his entire last season at IU.

Unless he's Michael Jordan, I just don't see him scoring enough in the NBA to be a multiple All-Star.

How about Russell Westbrook as a comparison for Oladipo? Only even more raw never having played PG.

*Best case scenarios:

Trey Burke: Terrell Brandon

Shabazz Muhammad: Bonzi Wells

Alex Abrines: Rudy Fernandez

Jeff Withey: Poor-man's Omar Asik

Anthony Bennett: Rodney Rogers meets Kenyon Martin

Nerlens Noel: Marcus Camby

That's a crappy draft, which I agree with, too. This may be a draft where the best player is found in the late lottery. Not a franchise player, but a Paul Pierce, who then needs other elite All-Star level players to become a contender. Cleveland's teams with LeBron James are amazing in how bad his supporting cast was at the time. How did that team ever make an NBA Finals?

If Shabazz isn't a complete shithead, I'd take another Bonzi Wells at the #10 spot. Bonzi abused Kobe Bryant in the post for a few years. I like that comparison.

He still has the Blazers record for most points scored in a playoff game.

The NBA is different than college. He will score with the big boys. Jordan only averaged 17 ppg in college. Joined the NBA and started averaging 30. Look at Oladipo's shooting percentages.

I've said in another thread, Oladipo is a Player, like Zagger said - he'll be multiple- times All Star, but comparing him to Jordan is crazy, the only reason you can compare them is that Jordan was not nearly as impressive in college as he was in the NBA. If he's the next Jordan it's not best-case scenario, it's unbelievable-case scenario. I'd put him between Iguodala and Wade (also a bit of an exeggeration IMO).

"Dean Smith is the only person who could hold Michael Jordan under 20 a game"

How about Magic Johnson?

The point being: both of them are "high motor", non-stop attack players with (in college) rather crude guard skills but great athleticism. Plus they're pretty similar sized (Westbrook measured 6'2.25", Oladipo 6'3.25".)

Except Jordan averaged 20 ppg his sophomore season. I think that quote was used with Bobby Knight:
