Lol. The A&W experience...
I'm about to make the trip to Sweet Home just to check this out. The A&W inside the KFC in Oregon City sucks donkey balls. Good root beer floats, but everything else (that I have tried) is garbage.
The A&W in Stayton would be closer, and is of the same caliber. I recommend the root beer freeze and a spicy double Papa Burger. Siracha cheese curds if you're extra bold.

Thanks. We haven't eaten there, but we have stopped in for floats and to buy some mugs.

We'll check it out next time we're over there.

There are, in a sense, 2 A&Ws. YUM! foods, a spin off from Pepsi Co, owns A&W along with Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silvers, and Pizza Hut. The co-branded stores like the A&W and KFC ones aren't very good. The A&Ws that are stand alone and built before Yum! bought the brand tend to be really good and what you remember when you were a kid. The ones in Stayton and Sweet Home are really old, have the car menus and those metal trays that hook to your car window.

I made the mistake several years ago of buying a burger at the A&W in the KFC at SE 82nd. Never again!

I don't think I've eaten a fast food hamburger (or cheeseburger) since 2004. At the time, though, I'd evolved from McDonalds to Burger King to Wendy's. I've heard good things about Shake Shack and almost tried one in Seoul in 2017 but didn't get around to it.

Hey! That was the year I graduated high school
