IDAHO STAMPEDE TO HOST TEAM TRYOUTS
Portland and Boise will each host exclusive tryouts

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Idaho Stampede will hold exclusive player tryouts in advance of the team’s 2012-13 season, the 15th season in the team’s history.

The organization, under direction from the Portland Trail Blazers, the team’s single NBA affiliate, will host the tryouts in Portland on Sept. 22, 2012 at the Trail Blazers Practice Facility and in Boise on Sept. 29, 2012 at the Ada County Boys and Girls Club. Both tryouts will start with registration at 7 a.m. and end no later than 6 p.m.

These exclusive tryouts will offer players the opportunity to show their abilities in front of Stampede coaching and scouting staff, along with Trail Blazers personnel, with the chance of an invite to Stampede training camp.

Space will be limited for each tryout, and potential participants are asked to fill out registration forms before two days prior to each tryout date. Walk-up registration at the door will not be available on the day of a tryout. Players can find registration forms at the Idaho Stampede front office, idahostampede.com and trailblazers.com (link to form).

Players should return all registration forms, along with a $150 payment made out to the Idaho Stampede (credit/debit card, cashier’s check or money order) to: Sean Kiely, Portland Trail Blazers, 7325 SW Childs Rd., Portland, OR 97224, faxed (credit/debit only) to 503-797-9996, or sent to Kiely’s email address (sean.kiely@trailblazers.com). If a player is asked to participate, their fee is non-refundable. Registrants who are not asked to try out will be notified and have their fee reimbursed.

Any questions regarding the camp should be directed to Sean Kiely at 503-797-9647.

That's cool to see. Thanks for posting this!

I have the skills of Chris Dudley in the body of Steve Kerr, with the age of Gary Payton. It's like a 3-for-1 deal!

I can shoot the college three if I'm open... In an empty gym.

Hell I'll grab my walker and try out. I can play center. I'm only 6'3", but I can punch a player in the balls with the best of them!

Just saw this on Twitter......

@trailblazersPR..............@bigjohnNEP also known as THE HCP has officially announced he is trying out for the Stampede! Press conference tomorrow at the RG#oldschoolballer

Hey Fez, if you practice hard enough, you can make the team. :bgrin:

I thought you played a game with BobDobalina and a couple other dudes in a 3 man tournament like 2 years ago

I didn't but I think you're right about BobD and some other people doing that. That was at the street jam, which I think is coming up.

Denny sent me a check for like $300...... I got it to Bob for that tourney! It was an S2 sponsored team!

I could beat y'all one on one but I'm not much of a team player. I can't pass or catch passes. Otherwise, I'd be there. I can shoot the lights out and I'm deadly in the post.

You do know we're talking about basketball, right?
