Definitely my least favorite album from one of my favorite bands. I didn't technically "acquire" it, as I'm just borrowing it. But I own a couple of other records, but this is trash.

It's overproduced. Plus Morrisey goes a little too far with his cynicism. I still like it, but not as much as the rest of their catalog as you said.

Good record for sure, but Like Water 4 Chocolate S*^ts all over it in my opinion. I think Erykah took a little bit of his edge off.

Biggest waste of amazing beats with ass-crack lyrics i've ever heard. He mentions in multiple times in multiple songs:
Dr. Dre
Chronic
his six fo'
24's
vintage cars, especially Impalas

wow, never heard about those before....

I like to listen to this record and imagine what a real MC would put over it. IF Mos Def had these beats it would be the best album of the decade.

Funny you'd mention that phun. I bought the album to review for the school paper and wrote exactly the same thing. The fact that he calls it Doctor's Advocate then doesn't even mention Dr. Dre anywhere in the sleeve is a joke. Dre turned his back on you, stop trying to make nice homie. The production is top-notch, but the lyrics are pure crap.
