So KingSpeed...why did they call you speed....I have a guess but Ill let you speak for yourself

Pinwheel1 is in honor of the orginal Blazer logo. (As oppossed to the later versions). I also use "Chairman" on Basketball Boards.com as in "Chairman of the Boards".

Wanted to honor our Spanish players (which at the time I joined the BBF was only Sergio) - and I was sure as hell not going to be called Canary...

I've never been into nicknames so I just use my initials.

I met my wife online. I use to help her sister with tech support online and she intro us. When I drove back to Racine, WI, to pick Karla up and drive her back here her nephews only knew me as mgb and when I got there they kept yelling "MGB is here!! MGB is here!!".

That was over 10 years ago. We just had our 10th marriage anniverary May 30th.

Congrats!

I think I just said "call me Speed" and she said "call me Ace." I have no idea why. Hm. Good question.

You can tell us about your drug habit.

Few of us will judge you.

my favorite players are always playmakers (think Maradona), hence number 10.

Relatively simple, Jacoby Ellsbury is my favorite Sox player. I've been thinking about changing it since Celtic season is upon us, but this name's caught on better than any other so I'll keep it.

It has nothing to do with my real name, no way would I let my abomination of a name get out on the internet.

it's_GO_time

Clearly, I'm a big Rudy fan. : )

Let me just warn you all. I first had a screen name with Cheeks and he was gone after 2.5 years. I then switched my screen name to one with Darius in it, and he was gone after about 2.5 years. So if history is any indication of the future . . . we have 2.5 years to enjoy Oden.

(I should note this all started with fantasy football, the league I'm in requires your team name has one of your players in the name)

Did you know Jacoby is from Oregon?

You hav my sympathies tonight. Doesn't look good for the Sox.

The Rays are pretty phenomenal.
Heh.

I hope the Rays go absolutely apeshit on the field with champagne once they win, and the Sox are forced to stay out there and watch. Then clean up the mess.

PtownBlazer1

Well we all know Ptown, but I have always used Blazer1. That was my license plate when I lived in washington and plan on getting one on my car here in Oregon soon. But is the airplane of the team still called Blazer 1? Oh well...thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

It is Blazer 1. Up until last year there was a Blazer 2 also.

Heh.

I actually quite like the Red Sox. They just ran into a really talented team that is playing out of their minds. Overall, I'd say the Rays and Sox are about equally talented. One team is just on a hot streak.

HAAK = hawk

*derived from my last name of Haakenson [hawk-in-son]

[7][2] = seven/deuce

**derived from the worst starting hand in Texas Hold'em

***also part of the H-72 poker crew [my old poker family in Corvallis, OR]

IMO, its a major choke job. They put themselves in unbelievable position after game 1, let a retarded umpire make a game-changing call in game 2, and (for some reason) became traumatized by that.

I just hope Tim Wakefield doesn't come back (again). He gives me blood clots.

No it isnt a choke job...Rays are better
Sox win game 1 in shutout fashion, then proceed to get buttraped in all subsequent games despite having the pitching matchup advantage in all but one. That's choking.

Good choice for a basketball forum. That Maradona was an amazing scorer (with his hands) for a soccer player.

I know, it's just such a logical choice, isn't it? But personally, I'd call Nash a #10, so it does apply to basketball.

Started off as Master Shake cause on of my fav. shoes is Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Than, I changed it to King Shake cause I am king.

I was at my best friend's house playing his new guitar and teaching him some chords, when his little sister called. She asked if he was the one playing the guitar, to which he replied, "no, that's Barracuda"! At that moment I was playing a riff from the Heart song Barracuda, that I had learned the night before while watching some sorta VH1 countdown. Shortly after that his whole family started calling me Barracuda.

I think that I meant to spell it wrong, but I can't remember :dunno:

He's a nice guy. I used to live with his younger brother for a few years in college.

Derek Anderson, Mr. Loyal himself. Loyalty4Life, baby. I still get compliments with my user name. I use it for my email address as well. I even made a t-shirt with the phrase. I only wear it for special occasions.

When I first started posting with this general group about a decade ago, I was waiting on a patent application I'd filed on a snowboarding product idea involving the stomp pad. I'd developed a prototype and was optimistic about it's potential and STOMP in caps was to be spelled across my particular stomp pad as part of the brand name. Some one else beat me to the rights for the patent, which turned out for the best as I would have lost my shirt going for it in the middle of the dot com bubble burst... the snowboarding industry absolutely crashed.

It's just a name

STOMP
