That’s the most graphic thing I’ve ever read on this forum.I give Crawford a little slack because he was a square peg shoved into a Brandon-Roy-shaped hole.
Um, #2.Why would we? It’s not Bowie’s fault the Blazers drafted him #1.
Bowie was the Blazer’s #1 pick.Um, #2.
1984 Draft:
1. H Olajuwan
2. S Bowie
3. M Jordan
4. S Perkins
5. C Barkley
16. J Stockton
yeah I remember Quick and Canzano spinning their sordid crap daily alienating the team from reality... the press became the enemy of the team which persisted well after those players were gone. Especially given perspective, place the blame where it belongs. What uniform is he wearing? Do you remember WCF 2000? Remember the towel in Sabonis' face? Remember "both teams played hard" for 8 months? Yeah, a real winner.
I'll update mine then...Love reading the reasons good or bad. This is great.
I was trying to figure out what anyone could possibly have against that guy. Should've known it was his alma mater.Alaa Abdelnaby... I'd just moved to PDX from NC. While I loved having a pro team to root for, what were they doing drafting a fucking Dookie?

I don’t know you or your situation, but you are basing your judgement on them as people, have you met these people or are you going off hack media and shitty writers. Sorry, but I’m not going to judge others based on what Jason Quick says about somebody. From my vantage, I think you may be misreading the title. If it had said, 5 worst players in Blazer history, then you have a beef.
Personal dislikes? Hell, that could be because of shape of a players teeth. It appears you may like or dislike based on performance. I didn't read that into it at all. My fandom begins and ends with the person, not the player. I would personally rather have a player be a great human being who might not get us over the top, than I would get a championship based on adding a slimeball human. Just my way of fandom.
It’s tough for me to hate players. I don’t expect anything from shit players. So they live up to my expectations. Same reason I thought we’d win 39 this season and wasn’t really shocked how things turned out.You keep posting about other people’s lists so much. Where is your list?
When I retire and write my book, you’ll get real stories and why I might love or hate guys because of off the court. You keep posting about other people’s lists so much. Where is your list?
When our starting 2 guard was an allstar…. And our backup was Clyde, I agree.wE DIdn'T KneeD JoRdAn.....
Sucks that happened to you man. Zach is really a nice dude, pretty shy actually. Wish you had better memories of him.It was the open scrimmage at the beginning of the season. Many of the Blazers were interacting with the fans doing games and pictures in the concourse. When the players moved between the stations, kids were getting autographs. My son got a few autographs from other players that day. Zach was the only one that blew my son off.
Totally understand this perspective. The players have the right to treat the fans that pay their paycheck however they chose. I also have the right to feel how I chose about the players. I've met tons of Blazers over the years being a season ticket holder since 1974. Almost all of the interactions are very nice. These guys are great to open themselves up. Zach was probably having a bad day. Still leaves a bad impression.
LaRue? Why would you dislike him? He wasn't a bad guy. Just a bad player.
Outstanding dude!I was trying to figure out what anyone could possibly have against that guy. Should've known it was his alma mater.
Did you think that Felton was going to be as shit as he was? Were you cool with him being out of shape and not seeming to give the effort we'd seen him give on previous teams? I don't know anything about any of the guys personally. Felton's just the only one that I honestly wish was never a Blazer and purely because of what I saw on the court. It’s tough for me to hate players. I don’t expect anything from shit players. So they live up to my expectations. Same reason I thought we’d win 39 this season and wasn’t really shocked how things turned out.
When I was 7, I went to my first Wake Forest game... it was against the Blue Devils. Pops & I sat on the wooden bench that ringed the top of the stadium where seats weren't assigned and the players were like ants scurrying about far below. Nonetheless the spectacle of it all from the loud cheering & chants to the band & the crazy dancers just blew my little mind. A few rows below us a guy had a sign that proclaimed DUKE IS PUKE! & that was that. They instantly became the evil boogieman team and all their players were the bad guy.I was trying to figure out what anyone could possibly have against that guy. Should've known it was his alma mater.
I met Collins at a Lucas Foundation function with BG. He was very pleasant, but yes, very shy. But he made small talk with us and graciously posed for pictures. I suppose he was probably there because he had to be. But again, we had a very nice interface with him......and he seemed really pleased when I complimented him on his footwork........Sucks that happened to you man. Zach is really a nice dude, pretty shy actually. Wish you had better memories of him.
The difference in our comments say a lot. I stated mine with "I think". You responded with "You are".I don’t know you or your situation, but you are basing your judgement on them as people, have you met these people or are you going off hack media and shitty writers. Sorry, but I’m not going to judge others based on what Jason Quick says about somebody.

I was not excited for him to comer play for us. I never liked his game and didn’t expect him to do well here.Did you think that Felton was going to be as shit as he was? Were you cool with him being out of shape and not seeming to give the effort we'd seen him give on previous teams? I don't know anything about any of the guys personally. Not the friendliest of players. Kept to himself.Did you think that Felton was going to be as shit as he was? I think the key with Big Z is to compliment his hair!I met Collins at a Lucas Foundation function with BG. He was very pleasant, but yes, very shy. No apologies needed. I was trying to figure out how people are coming up with their choices is all. I’m in a different spot, I would base mine on play, not personalities. One of the biggest jerks I’ve been around in all my years was LaFrentz. So I’ll put him on my list. The difference in our comments say a lot. I stated mine with "I think". You responded with "You are".
I was honestly trying to bring light to what appeared to me was a lot of attitude being applied to people's lists. Apparently I was wrong in replying to yours. My apologies.
Right on. I was just asking. I can tell you that some of this shit media are worse people than the ones they are covering and I’ll just leave that there. Choose to believe what you want sir/ma’am.When you are a public entertainer as all NBA athletes are this comes with the territory. NBA players make up to hundreds of millions because fans watch them, follow them, and get to know their public perception. What they are like as a private person doesn't matter here; they are rightly judged in the public sphere and yes media with shit writers makeup a piece of that. If they don't want judgement or criticism they can choose a different profession.
I expect that is absolutely true. Of course, I don't root for the Oregonian.Right on. I was just asking. I can tell you that some of this shit media are worse people than the ones they are covering and I’ll just leave that there. Choose to believe what you want sir/ma’am.
