So you are saying you have put on a few pounds?

Not really. That's the thing about Chalupas, you can really only stand to eat so many. They are self-limiting. So, once you build up a lifetime supply, you'll always have a lifetime supply. I've got 19 Chalupa coupons in my wallet right now, and probably another half dozen around here somewhere. I keep threatening to take my whole department at work out to lunch at Taco Bell. I might have to actually make good on that threat one of these days.

That's a threat???!!!

Hopefully you aren't as threatening as the Blazer's email!

Fun time, fun win and we further padded our lifetime supply of Chalupa coupons. That's five games in a row we've been to where the Blazers broke the 100-point Chalupa barrier.

I don't want to be too hard on Travis tonight, as he had a pretty good game, but he looked absolutely helpless trying to stop Maggette. It's ironic that he seems to do a decent job guarding back-up power forwards, but has absolutely no chance stopping a powerful small forward like Maggette, who has a strong upper body and can put the ball on the floor.
really? Here I was sort of impressed with the way that he guarded Maggette in the last few minutes. On consecutive clearouts he had CM settling for tough contested fadeaways along the baseline which he missed. Maggette is a tough cover for anyone and I've seen him toy with the best of the best when he gets it rolling, but to say Travis "has absolutely no chance stopping him" doesn't jibe with what happened when the game was on the line last night.

So, Nate might be doing the right thing moving him back to the role he played most of last season - back-up power forward. They certainly get more production out of him in that role than either Frye or Diogu. And, while he's a weak rebounder, he's almost always in the game with Oden or Przybilla. I'd still like a banger who can play defense and rebound as our back-up 4, but we don't have that on our roster. So, playing Outlaw there seems like the best alternative. He's going to be outplayed on the boards and occasionally over powered on the low blocks, but he also creates a mismatch that he can, and does, exploit on the offensive end.

Agree completely. I have been saying for a long time that Travis is too slow laterally to guard SFs for the most part. Outlaw at the 4 gives him some great mismatches against 90% of PFs. Trout is just an odd player... on the nights when he plays his best d (which still ain't great), it typically amounts to him getting beat off the dribble quite a bit, then recovering to get steals or blocks some of the time. I have really never consistently seen him stay in front of his man other than when he is guarding bigger, slower guys.

I don't mind Outlaw for a little scoring punch off the bench, as long as he isn't in with a lineup where Joel is the only good defender...

This lineup:

Sergio
Rudy
Outlaw
Frye
Joel
:tsktsk:
Should never happen again. It is terrible... every time I see that, I know the opposition is going to go on a run. Travis and Batum at the 4 and 3 is intriguing to me from a length/shotblocking/rebounding aspect. I want to see more of that!

And yeah, this team would really benefit from a Maxiell-type at backup 4.

If I ate five Chalupas a day for five days, perhaps.

At the rate I am accumulating Chalupa coupons, I always get more before I can use up the ones I have. They have a one coupon per person per visit policy. So, I either need to eat there 25 times before the next time I get more coupons, or I need to take two dozen of my closest friends out to lunch.

The last time I got up to Portland for a game we lost to the Bobcats. No Chalupas for me. :sigh:
