Terrorist attack school project?

and people wonder why the US is doing down the drain.

I bet you the teacher made this a special assignment for TBM, because he's Lebanese. You can't escape the racialism, man.

"Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!"

PWNED!

Interestingly cool project, really makes you think about what the world values and what-not.

I would say:

1. Ports, Pick a major one, and go after it.
2. Three Gorges Dam, if the date of your "attack" isn't specified, wait till 2009.
3. Energy corporation (Exxon, etc.)

In theory, I would suggest thinking of what you want to hit the hardest (economy, people, symbolic things) and go from there. Of course, my suggestions are just big things -- and me planning a terrorist attack would land be in some deep doo-doo. A bit odd for a teacher to ask this from you, but none-the-less it's kind of interesting.

Not that I believe you're a terrorist, but. . keep us informed, I can't really fathom a teacher asking this of you either -- Swish and phunD are right in their reluctance to believe you.

I HIGHLY DOUBT that was an actual homework assignment.
let's face it schools, especially in the U.S., are known for being ultra-sensitive towards these things because they have to make the parents happy.
MANY parents would flip out if they heard this was an assignment.
this is almost like asking a class to plan the most awesome Columbine-style shooting.
if you are in college studying SECURITY or LAW ENFORCEMENT I would buy it. But I thought you said you were in high school so why don't you tell us the real reason you need this information?</div>

Palomar Community College.

Class: Administration of Justice (some number): Introduction to Terrorism
Instructor: Chris Meyers, San Diego F.B.I. office superviser

My college #: 007504624

Anymore questions?? You really think I want to blow up a building? It's a final assignment.

See, once you move beyond HS, you'll learn about controversial issues!

I studied Criminal Justice at university, we never did stuff on terrorism.

Wish we did though.

okay okay i believe you're not really a terrorist.
that sounds like an interesting class

I doubt any terrorist would turn to an internet forum with a bunch of kids (yes kids, like you *points*) to ask what to bomb next. I think they are a bit more serious than that...

I plan on majoring in Criminal Justice, but that's a far way away right now.

I was looking at classes so I could take the basic ones, but this was a first year class they were offering and I thought it would be interesting. It's really not that great. I haven't learned anything that you can't find on CNN.

you just proved my point.
that's EXACTLY why it's a good cover....

Why don't you hold Travis Diener hostage? The world would have to surrender to you now!

Just so you guys know, I attacked:

Times Square - Tourist attraction, heavily populated. Attacked with truck bomb and a suicide bomber.

Malls - Easily be able to suicide bomb a mall.

Freeways - Detonate truck bombs in heavy taffic would result in casualties and the stopping of commuting.

Elementary schools - Killing children would hit America the hardest, suicide bombers would result in many casualties.

The Las Vegas Strip - Symbolizes everything wrong with America: Porn, Gambling, Bars.

What a sick assignment and I don't mean that in a good way.

I don't know, if a terrorist group did something like this, they would have the entire world's attention. No one would listen to their pleas or come to the negotiation table. They couldn't afford to do something that evil.

Does anybody listen to them anyways? The attacks were in the States, we don't listen to them. I don't think hitting elementary school kids hits as hard as blowing up two buildings with our own planes, flying another plane into the pentagon, and another plane crashing into a field in PA.

I just thought of an attack that would take no planning and could kill 1500 people. I don't know about America, but down here, cinemas don't have security, they just have people to make sure you have a ticket when entering a screen. If 15 suicide bombers went into 1 screen each, with a minimum of 100 people in each room, that's 1500 people killed instantly. Of course the attacks would happen simultaneously. It wouldn't take much planning either.

Man, this whole assignment is really sickening.

Of course people listen to them, it's the reason they initiate acts of terrorism in the first place. They want a political 'voice' and this is their means of getting it.

There's a huge difference in blowing up a school of elementary students than blowing up the Twin Towers and Pentagon.

Bombing the twin towers wasen't evil? Didn't it get the worlds attention? All terorists want to do is gain attention, make people scared, and disrupt a countries ecomomy/transportation/security. I'm sure they don't care about gettin a bad rep. I'm of the opinion that terrorist groups don't want their demands met, or they make unreasonable demands so they aren't met. What would a Al-Qaeda do if there demands were met? Disband and become hippies?

I hate to say it but i think the next attack on the US is going to be a much larger scale attack. I've heard that the american intelligence community has heard alot of activity about "American Hiroshima." Supposedly a terrorist group has gained the materials to construct a nuclear weapon (10 kilotons) and they are/have smuggled it into the US through the mexican border. This way there is less of a chance to be caught, and if they did get caught, they would only lose a piece of it and not all. They will assemble it and detonate it on US soil. On the bright side, a 10 kiloton blast would only (that sounds terrible) kill 20,000 if it were detonated in say...Washinton DC. The remaining people would have a chance to survive if they know what to do. I think the US government should be spending money on educating people that are in the most risk....I know it sounds grim but it is a reality.
