That was happening when our record wasn’t above .500

Well, you know Dame won't be voted in by the fans, so that's one spot on the reserves that CJ wouldn't get. DeRozan probably won't be voted in, so that's another reserve spot he wouldn't get.

So who would he beat?

Well LMA won’t make it this year, KAT I don’t think will, Draymond is 50-50, it’ll be close

Oh, now I think I understand why Turner wouldn't like this trade: 'He (Porter) operated as something of a point forward in Georgetown's offense, executing his team's sets to perfection, constantly reading and probing the defense, and facilitating exceptionally well from the high post. His court vision and passing ability is exceptional for a player his size, and he really sets the tone for his teammates with his unselfishness in always looking to make the right play. He makes simple extra passes to open shooters on the perimeter, finds cutters diving to the rim with perfectly timed bounce passes, and moves the ball ahead in transition decisively to get his teammates easy baskets that don't register in the boxscore as assists. - Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Otto-Porter-6528/ ©DraftExpress
Sold. Trade Turner for him.

But those are all forwards/bigs. I just don't see any way that CJ makes it.

If anything, I'm wondering if you could make a case for Nurk.

15 ppg, 11 boards, 1.2 blocks, 24.5 PER and in only 26 mpg.

After reading all five pages I just wanted to make a post to show my displeasure in us trading Simons. I would be extremely upset about it. There that's all. You can continue with this thread now.

I definitely do not want him as some throw in. I think he has a bright future, especially playing with Dame/CJ.

Absolutely ant will easily be sixth man of the year material in a couple of years.

I meant 17 ppg for Hardaway Jr. Since most people say this season is too small of a sample size so far, I was using last year's full season stats. I'll still stand by the point. That CJ is a very good scorer (especially when he is dominating the ball and most everyone else is standing around) and not a very good defender.
Gotcha. I personally don’t care about isolating a single player’s defensive ability. I care about the defense we play as a team and that is going well.

Tracy Murray scored 50..... best shooting guard ever.

Corey Brewer scored 51 points.... hall of fame!

Tony Delk scored 53 points.... best Celtic in team history.
Did those guys do it in 29 minutes? Did they average 20 ppg? Who said CJ was best SG ever? Your argument is incredibly lame.

Also one of Harden, Westbrook,.and Curry won't get voted in. There's another.

CJ is a good player. He is not a max money player. He is what we always thought he was..... a scoring combo guard. He will probably never be an All-Star in Portland. He'll probably never make All-NBA. I suspect if he were traded East he would rack up some hardware though.
If you don’t want CJ on our team with current contract, who would you prefer that is available for less money?

Thank the good Lord Almighty that we have so many correctors on this board with plenty of spare time to point out any possible flaw in any post whatsoever... regardless of whether they miss the point of the original post or not. :smiley-beerchug:
Pretty sure everyone and their grandmother's know the narrative about CJs defense. I also hold you to a higher standard than using that crap logic to arrive to that! Honestly, I just hate the argument of "the opposing player at the same position scored 30 so they automatically played bad defense".

Starters aren’t 100% voted in by fans anymore. Fan vote only accounts for 50%. The players and media members make up the other 50%.

Measuring the worth of a player based on their All-Star appearances is idiotic.
