Zimmerman to be charged in Trayvon Martin Case!

next thing ya know we're going to have to wait until we're actually loosing blood from a knife wound before we retaliate.

So, blue32, may I assume you support the right of women to pre-emptively kill any man who makes us feel threatened? Not wait until he tries to rape us? May I also assume you support the right of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people to pre-emptively kill gay-bashers? Not wait until we get beaten to a pulp?

Couldn't have predicted this post...

I certainly do if there's an imminent threat to your safety.

Now, if it's just a hormonal over-reaction on your part...:devilwink:

Considering Trayvon Martin was armed with candy, soft drink and cell phone, it was certainly an overreaction to kill him. According to blue32, Zimmerman somehow assumed Martin had a knife because blue32 used to work near Benson High. Not sure of the connection, hmm, maybe skin tone?

Imminent threat? Does that mean 3 guys in a car following me making obscene noises? Or does a man have to knock me to the ground first? I assure you, Maris, this may be funny to you but my hormones do not kick in when men follow me and make obscene noises, unless you count enough adrenaline so I could outrun and outdodge the 3 men in a car (yes it did happen). Would I have been justified in turning and blowing them away?

Yes, Papa G, you could have predicted. Or does preemptive killing only apply when straight males do it?

My question is serious. Zimmerman was not, in fact, in imminent danger. He had a car, he could have left. He shot. There are those who not only defended but praised. Would you praise me? If Matthew Sheppard had been armed, would you have praised him if he had killed the homophobes who murdered him? Would you have praised Dr. George Tiller if he had carried a gun to church and killed the man who instead killed him? Oh wait, Dr. Tiller was shot in the back...

i usually have a gun or two on me, just in case anyone is acting suspicious, that way i can shoot them to death

If my aunt had balls, would she be my uncle?

He was, allegedly, having his head slammed into the pavement by a taller person who had him pinned to the ground.

I don't know how reasonably he could have said, "Excuse me" and walked to his car and left at that point.

Now all you have to do is go around looking to pick a fight on anyone "acting suspicious", then shoot them and call it self defense.

I have no idea what happened in this case, but it seems the media does not have all the facts. And if what you said is true Ed O (I have no clue), then certainly we must consider this.

Those tall people and their head slamming...

Photo taken after Trayvon Martin shooting and prior to EMTs arriving.

WFTV just learned Friday morning about a picture of gunman George Zimmerman, taken just three minutes after the shooting that left 17-year-old Trayvon Martin dead. The picture reportedly shows cuts on the back of Zimmerman's head, with blood trickling down

Pick a fight, start to lose, kill the guy. Lesson learned!

$150k bond and released with electronic monitoring. That's basically a "fuck you" to the prosecution on these bogus murder charges. Should have gone for manslaughter. Also revealed that witnesses say Trayvon Martin circling Zimmerman's vehicle after Zimmerman listened to the 911 dispatch and went back to the car.

Lesson learned? Don't follow a dude back to his car, act like a bad ass, jump him, and then get your ass shot.

I'll be surprised if this goes to trial.

But then again, you were surprised he was charged with murder. :)

George Zimmerman was recognized by the Mayor for his intervention in the events surrounding the homeless (black) man that was beaten by a Sanford police officer's relative.

There has been a near-complete media blackout in this regard -- and questions about whether the letter published somewhat-recently was authentic.

Well, it appears (from testimony of his mother this morning) that the Sanford Mayor personally recognized George Zimmerman for his efforts to obtain justice for that homeless man.

And where is the media who tried to turn this into a racial issue?

Just as importantly, where is the Mayor of Sanford who gave that commendation and thus knew damn well what the history of this man was when it came to his views on race?

The prosecutor basically admitted that they don't really have any evidence to support their charges. LOL

A show trial. Plus, that investigator on the stand was a nervous, flop-sweating disaster.

"Um, yeah, I signed the indictment, but I didn't write or really even read it." Bond for a murder suspect, with bail at $15k to a bondsman. Hilarious.

State prosecutor says she wasn't aware of bounty on Zimmerman's head by NBP party. Uh, right.

State investigator on stand:

Zimmerman attorney: "Do you have any evidence that contradicts what Zimmerman and others have told the police?"

Answer after ignoring it four times: "No"

Show trial.

Defense affidavits say neighbors saw Martin peering into windows of homes that were not his own.

Apparently this guy is going to try and help the FL DA get their story straight.

Funny how you hear things and what professional lawyers know and hear:

They would have to prove that the presumption of guilt is great, and that the proof is evident," said O'Mara.

In the capias -- similar to a warrant -- filed against Zimmerman last week, Special Prosecutor Angela Corey and her team set bail at "none." In order to reduce that to bail at a set monetary sum, Corey's team would have to essentially prove their case -- something experts tell ABC News is unlikely at this point in the legal process.

O'Mara said he doubts the prosecutor will reveal their case before trial, even before discovery.

Discovery starts at preliminary hearing, and investigator was under oath today. If he lied today on the stand, he just perjured himself. He SHOULD have said we will release our evidence upon discovery. Seems to me they charged without sufficient evidence, and hope to find the evidence prior to trial.

God Bless Amurrrica.

Well it's pretty obvious what it seems like to you, hope Zimmerman and Martin get a jury who are willing to listen to all the evidence before making any kind of conclusion.

Oh, me too. A big burden for the prosecution to prove this case at this point.

After watching all of this hysteria I bet Sandosky wishes he only molested black kids.
