Zion

Zion is a gamble with his health and desire, but when healthy, 27 ppg on 60+% efficiency.

Scoot is also a gamble. He could be a bust!

When you trade 3 for Zion, you make the risk and live with the result. The dude is 22 y/o.

Was not a Zion fan when he came into the league. More of a mauler, than a finesse scorer. That only plays as long as the athlete stays in top condition. We are seeing that he does not.

Could he change? I give it a 50/50 at best. If the Blazers did acquire him, and it paid off, it could be huge. If it didn't, it would look very poor on many fronts. He has played where he is suppose to be the man. If he could exist where he doesn't, and learns to like that role. I could see a big dividend from him.

Woah! I just read on Twitter that Zion has undergone a late growth spurt and is now 7'2"!

Wide?

That said, if he showed that he wanted to be more disciplined and his medicals came through okay, you have to consider it because of his talent.

But old habits die hard.

That’s a pipe dream.
Obviously. That's about the only way for Houston to match salary on a Zion deal involving Dame going to Miami, though (without us taking back Robinson, that is).

I have a fantasy that we could still keep Dame. With these three separate trades. Along with sending the 2026 second round pick that Memphis owes us to Chicago along with guaranteeing our 2024 pick to them. Finally singing George Hill (vet min) to be Dame's backup. We could also probably get Dame's friend Oubre with the TPMLE and a vet C for the min as insurance.

Rotation: Dame, Shae, Jeremi, Zion, Carter, Ourbre, Matisse, Zach, Hill with Kris and Jabari competing to get into the rotation.

How long would it take the Heat fans that all have Dame Monikors now to turn on him and hate him saying "He played us"
