nets got zo. who a lineup of zo, mutombo and k-mart be good enough defensively to beat the west?

zo can be played at PF while KMart can be played at SF. Mutombo would be the center.

exactly...

ill bet u look back you can find a good 40-50 better ones. there have been some forces

zo deke and kmart will be awsome but like funky said(i cant belive im agreeing)its not 1op 10 but it is big competition for the west again the nets will be in the finals

maybe IF they can get past detroit and thats a big IF they can get back tot the finals where they will again be beaten in 6 games or less

no mutombo wont start it will be zo at center martin at power forward jefferson at small forward most likely. they would need to trade a center.

its a possible linup- one that will work imo but if they go with zo at c i would trade williams and collins for a lights out SG

Martin is fast enough to be a SF. they're probably gonna keep Deke, but I dont expect him to get much playing time

If deke and zo are both healthy they should use kmart as a sixth man. hell hurt tham if he plays too much. with deke and zo they might be better with him off the court

this is a solid group, but i wouldn't consider it the best front court ever. maybe if zo & deke were in their primes, but right now they are at the end of their careers and kmart isn't that great of a rebounder.

thats a great point shape. zo and deke are at the end of thei careers and kmart is a very subpar rebounder for his size and build and hype and an even worse shotblocker

true. if they stuck with this lineup, i'd expect them to outrebound any team in the East

no thats the point, kmart ISNT a great rebounder. im not so sure they would outrebound every team in the east unless tehye bplayed deke and zo a lot

..i know. even though he isn't a great rebounder, he'll give you about 8 a game. Deke could get 5+ and depending on how Mourning does, he could get 7+. Then you've got Kidd who's an amazing rebounder, considering his size. Jefferson can rebound pretty decent and give you 5 off the bench

maybe 8 a game if hes in for a long time. A big man like hiim should be getting a double double almost every night

..he average 8.3rpg. he should rebound in double digits, but that's not the point. it won't matter whether he gets the amount of rebounds that he should if he's got Zo and Deke.. and even Jason Collins  he can get 5rpg

I'll have to wait until I see them play a game together before I can make a judgement.

Well when KVH was in New Jersey he did guard the SF's a lot because Keith couldn't so I think they can experiment with a lineup of Zo/Deke/Martin/RJ/Kidd. I think the Nets have already expressed interest in placing RJ at the two guard already. Either way, not the best defensive frontcourt of all time.

agreed. Kittles and Harris would be a great bench core and theyre far from the best frontcourt in any sense of all time.

there is no way to tell...they havnt even played a single game together...three really good defensive players yea, but two of them are past their prime, and one of them hasnt reached his yet...so why even ask? clearly not, clearly not even close.

besides, arent the nets going to trade dikembe? he gets barely any minutes as it is, and hes not a pf nor is zo...so that line up wont be happening

If Kmart has a prime hes in it. hes not gonna be better than he was this year. especially if kidd leaves someday

Again let them, play together before calling them the GOAT

We dont even know what kind of Zo we are gonna see. He wont be as good as he used to be, before the kidney desease.

Deke is old and Zo hasnt played in like a yr
