Here's a question; what if we somehow win the lottery?
Do you take someone?
Do you trade for Jimmy Butler?
No, because Gibson is an undersized 4, who's game compares similarly to Williams.Dude has a 7'5 wingspan and is an explosive leaper, his height will not be an issue. He's actually longer than Ibaka. Not even comparable to Taj Gibson athletically. Did you just google "power forwards that are 6'9?"
What his jump shot is right now doesn't matter. You don't draft guys for what they are. You draft them based on what they can become. He's got a good looking shot. Ibaka didn't even start shooting threes until he was years into his NBA career.
If we got first I'd take Fultz then try to trade CJ or Dame for the 3rd or 4th pick to take Jackson. Fultz is fantastic and has an extremely well rounded game, while Jackson is a great defender, and would be a great distributor at the 3.Trading it would be a definite option. Right now I think Ball is projected as #1 on many boards. His dad could be a problem. If he turns out to be really good, will he end up in LA about the time he peeks?
Who do all the "tanker lovers" like? This year's draft seems deep on potential but no real players who will "transcend" the game. A term they throw out in Los Angeles all the time because by tanking for 3 years, and now 4, they are pissed they didn't end up with one of those types of players. Which was their goal for tanking in the first place.
American?Jackson is what everyone hoped Batum could be.

Yes.American?
I'd like using the lottery pick in a trade for a proven player who will make the team better immediately.Trading it would be a definite option. I'd try to trade Turner and Meyers and the 1st pick for Butler. Then all you'd have to do is see if a team like Philadelphia would take Crabbe. That'd leave us with:Here's a question; what if we somehow win the lottery?

Draftexpress says he's 7'0" barefoot, which means he'll probably be listed at 7'2" by the time the draft rolls around. Looks like the size/strength of Leonard with the skills of Plumlee, though without the athleticism of either. I would not complain if we ended up with the 10th pick and brought him in.You got Hartenstein, who's just as athletic, and can already shoot as well as finish inside, and he's 7'0 (I think?). That's the type of player you draft in the lotto. Players with talent and potential. You save raw players with potential for later.
lol why would CHI do this?I'd try to trade Turner and Meyers and the 1st pick for Butler.

lmao. That easy huh? That'd leave us with:
-Cap space (We could trade Ed/Aminu if someone signed)
-No bad contracts
-3 All-Stars
-A young, two-way center
-2 more draft picks
Why would CHI do it? Because they'd be rebuilding so bad contacts don't hurt them. And they'd get the #1 pick. Simple.lol why would CHI do this?
That sounds easy to do.

Profile says he's shooting 28% from INTL 3-point range, so I'd say his jump-shooting is closer to Plumlee's than Leonard's.He's just as athletic as Leonard.
I'd also say he has the skills of both because he can also shoot the ball.

Washington's team sucks. Same as NC State with Dennis Smith. One great player can't make a team good.I still can't figure out how the Huskies can be that horrible if Fultz is that fantastic. Two conference wins!
They have 7 decent players. That is more than enough to win in college. His highlights do look fantastic, but the games I have watched ......he does not. It's a puzzler.
Well, it'll be the second straight year a player is chosen first from a team too crappy to make the tournament. But do we have an example of an actually great player who couldn't drag his team to the NCAAs? (And don't say Lillard.)Washington's team sucks. Same as NC State with Dennis Smith. One great player can't make a team good.
I think his game translates beautifully to the NBA. 6'4 with a 6'11 wingspan, good defense, good athleticism. Can score on all 3 levels. Good ball handler. He'll be good.
Fuck the draft. Fuck the lottery.

Crisp can't defend, and Thybulle and Dickerson are men.I agree he will be good in the NBA, but that does not explain why they are so bad.
Their players were highly ranked. They have talent. Junior Noah Dickerson was a top 50 player coming out of HS. Sophomore David Crisp played well last year. Thybulle was highly ranked and has played well. Those players around Fultz should be at least competitive in most games. Losing is one thing but I still find it a little puzzling that they are as bad as they are.

Jackson is what everyone hoped Batum could be.
Ball could likely be a bust. He can't get by solid defenders, and his shot is hard to get off.
Tatum has a lot of talent, and I think he's being slept on.
I'd also be down with taking Isaac, and trying to bulk him up so that he could play the 4. He's 6'10 with guard skills, and would be a matchup nightmare for other teams as a PF.
Ntilikina would be interesting, as he's a 6'5 PG who can defend well and do a little bit of everything offensively. I'd take him if we could get rid of Turner. That'd sand is a ton of money with no real drop off and an increase in potential.
De'Aaron Fox would be great next to CJ, but we have Dame, who's better than Fox will ever be.
Malik Monk compares to CJ (undersized 2-guard who can shoot and score) which means we shouldn't look at him.
Fuck the draft. Fuck the lottery.
The next Dame or CJ vs 4 more games and Luke BabbittFuck the draft. Fuck the lottery.
