Re: 1 2 3 Not it! Tag banned
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Tag, you're out! Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.Recess is "a time when accidents can happen," said Willett Elementary School Principal Gaylene Heppe, who approved the ban. While there is no districtwide ban on contact sports during recess, local rules have been cropping up. Several school administrators around Attleboro, a city of about 45,000 residents, took aim at dodgeball a few years ago, saying it was exclusionary and dangerous.Elementary schools in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Spokane, Wash., also recently banned tag during recess. A suburban Charleston, S.C., school outlawed all unsupervised contact sports."I think that it's unfortunate that kids' lives are micromanaged and there are social skills they'll never develop on their own," said Debbie Laferriere, who has two children at Willett, about 40 miles south of Boston. "Playing tag is just part of being a kid."Another Willett parent, Celeste D'Elia, said her son feels safer because of the rule. "I've witnessed enough near collisions," she said.</div> :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: @ that part I bolded. Mrs. D'Elia.... GROW UP! Kids are going to run around, play hard, come home with bruises, scratches, scrapes, sprains, and even occasional broken bones. It's part of growing up. Oh... unless you want to raise a coddled pussy of a child who will never succeed at life because they are too busy crying about all those attrocities and injustices that life provides. This is the same mother who sues the school when her child is made fun of and laughed at while at school.... name 1 successful person who was never humiliated at school. I can name you 10 who were overprotected and became empty shells of people who would be the first sacrificed if it came to canabalism. I fucking hate these bliss ninnies who wonder why we can't all drop everything and hold hands. It's you who've ruined America. You coddle your children and wonder why they grow up to either be on 4 prescription pyschotropic drugs and wanting to shoot up a school, or a complete and total pussy and failiure at life. Let them be kids of God's sake! Let them get hurt once in a while. They aren't going to die from a fucking game of tag! "Near collisions" ..... are you fucking kidding me?! Your kid will either move out of the way, or learn his lesson and dodge the kid the next time! It's not that fucking big of a deal! Pretty soon we are going to have "recess" where the kids put on padded suits and go into a padded room and aren't allowed to interact with each other, only the Nerf football. If someone drops it, all the kids calmly draw straws (to be fair) to see who will pick the ball up and start the game of catch again. :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:
