With Miami losing, the Blazers are #1! We beat SAS, so we trumped them. Okc doesn't have as many wins. Enjoy this day! I bet none of you would ever think anyone could post this 18 games in.

How are we #1 with one less win and one more loss than Indiana?

We've been the best since the beginning. We just had to prove it which we are doing nightly. By the way, for all you preseason lovers, we have now won 20 of our last 23 games.

This isn't the BCS... this game cares about wins and losses, not about who you beat.

Indiana = .889 winning percentage
Portland = .833 winning percentage

I love your homerism but we are #2 right now. Certainly possible to be #1 in power rankings ne,t week especially if we win out. If pacers lose 1 before we do we will be #1

lol yeah. I love that we're up there, but I know we ain't #1 overall.

16-2 and 15-3 are completely different, no matter if we have beat Indy and SA. The W-L is still different.

So what y'all are saying is that we are #1 overall in the NBA?

Sweet!

Bottom line, we're a hell of a lot better than almost everyone thought we would be. Let's hope we can keep it up.

I think Portland will be really tested tomorrow night and will get OKC's best. Same amount losses but three games behind in the win column. OKC will be gunning for them and I think this game will signify just how real Portland is.

It'll be interesting to see OKC. They just held on to a blown 15 point lead and had KD in there for 40 minutes... It will be a test, for sure.

It's easy to overlook in the course of the regular season, but top teams usually get an opponent's best effort. How Portland handles playing with a target on their backs in the near future is going to be very interesting to say the least.

That is how I feel. Normally Ptd might sneak up on OKC who is on the road and playing back to back (and winning the first game). But with the Blazers sitting on top of OKC and slowing becoming the talk of the western conference, you can bet OKC will shake off the weary legs and come pumped for this game. This is a statement game . . . and if the Blazers keep this up, many opponents will view games against the Blazers as measuring stick of where they are (I bet Denver is licking their chops to get Ptd at home again).

Nice feeling for me is I feel at home, if Blazers play their game, they can beat anyone. Don't need to rely on a let down from the other team, Blazers are good enough to win if they bring their A game, no matter what game the opponent brings (yea I'm kind of on a Blazer high right now)
