Pumped for tonights season opener. Greg's 25/12/5 during the pre season really has me pumped! The HUGE trade in late August still is amazing when you think about it. We are definitely as strong as Miami, but with Nate being the first player/coach since Bill Russell starting at the PG for the first time since the mid 90's, I'm a little concerned. Well here we go!

Why is it, when I read this post, then looked at your avatar, I simply shook my head?

This popped up when i googled "fams"

I think its time we trade Aldridge... he has looked like garbage tonight!

Damn!!!!!!!!! NAte just dunked on Channing! Tea-Bagged 'em!

Damn, I thought this was gonna be a serious thread too. :( Rematch from last year's playoffs. We should be much better because we're healthy. They should not be nearly as good without Amare. On paper it looks like we should get a good solid revenge ass kicking. But the game isn't played on paper. Anything can happen on the first game of the season. I am psyched. I can't believe we've only got two and a half months until the regular season starts.

It's great to have the rock back in Zach's hands again!

I think its more knowing that OKC has passed us by leaps and bounds. knowing that, makes it hard for our team to get up for each game.

I think its more knowing that Durant not the rest of the scrubs on OKC, has passed us by leaps and bounds. knowing that, makes Oden more determined to destroy everyone this season.
Fixed

It simply amazes me that Nate stands there with his arms folded while the Suns pack the defense and take away our ISO offesne. Nate getting outcoached by Gentry again

SMASHED the Suns!

Great way to Set the Tone for the Best Season in Ten Years!

I guess he's plenty happy with Oden dunking on three overmatched Sun's beanpoles. And the free throw attempt is good! I think Wilt's record is in jeopardy. And it's only the first half... LOL (as long as we're in fantasy land, might as well make it good!).

What a gutty performance, I mean they somehow eeked out a win after suffering season ending injuries to 4 rotation guys, thank God Armon and Pendergraph stepped up the way they did, we're going to need more performances like that if the Blazers are going to do well this year.

ps. I still can't figure out how Greg dislocated his ass ... I mean, I don't think I've ever heard of that happening before.

A win is a win. I'll take it.

I'll bet ya a slice a pizza that my quote is much closer to reality than yours. The Suns exploiting our lack of movement on offense and Nate standing with his arms folded, or Greg threatening Wilt's 100 point game.....hmm

This season, PHX might be the league's worst rebounding team, while we can potentially be the best. We're gonna kill them on the glass.

Lopez is a pretty decent rebounder, but the rest of that frontline is suspect. The Suns are going to have a very weird "bigs" rotation.

Nash/Dragic
Richardson/Childress
Hill/Dudley
Hedo/Warrick/Clark/Lawal
Lopez/Channing

Yeah, that's going to be a pretty lousy rebounding team. Robin Lopez is an ok rebounder (14% TRB) and so is Amundson (16% TRB--but nothing else) but it's nothing compared to Oden and Camby (both at 22%). And it falls off sharply after that.

I can't wait to see if Batum has been working on his offense this summer. You know the first thing Phoenix is going to do is hide Nash on him like they did in the playoffs. Now that Nic is (hopefully) healthy and (hopefully) working on his post up game, he'll have his first opportunity to show us what he can do.

Well, Nic is going to be France's clear cut first option in the Worlds in a month (and he was a big part last year in the European championships), so I tend to think we'll see a much more aggressive offensive game from him when training camp opens up ... I think others like Aldridge and Greg will still be ahead of him in the pecking order, but if he can put the ball on the floor more consistently and be more of a triple-threat scorer that would be a pretty big boost to this team.

Well, on to game two. We're at the Clippers now. Please post updates for those of us unable to watch.

Maybe we can go through the entire season before training camp.

Won't that be fun.

without a doubt. If Aldridge can keep what he has, and Greg can stay healthy, Batum will be a HUGE boost with a few plays called for him. I am excited :ohno:

We would need a new thread for that ;]
