Deal would be the largest in NBA history. Crazy.

In the proposed three-team trade, first reported by The Record on Friday, the main players the Nets would get in return are Anthony and point guard Chauncey Billups from Denver and Detroit shooting guard Richard Hamilton.

The Nets would send Devin Harris, rookie power forward Derrick Favors, Anthony Morrow, Stephen Graham, Ben Uzoh and at least two first-round picks to Denver and Troy Murphy, Johan Petro and Quinton Ross to Detroit. The Nets also would receive big man Sheldon Williams from Denver and guard Terrico White from Detroit. Additional players would change teams to make the salaries match.

Due to the size of the deal, which would be the biggest in NBA history, it could be difficult to come together. But one league source said the sides were in "serious discussions," while another said talks "are progressing," and it’s possible something could happen with Anthony this week.

All those players moving and The Choad is nowhere to be seen.

Sucks we play NJ next Saturday. Hopefully it hits a snag for a week.

And the Heat trio thought they'd be the star trio out east. This would be huge for the Nets if they pull this deal off......

there was a part as well that said POR was trying to get in on the deal - Dev Harris the target I think. Maybe Denver swings Harris to POR for Miller and what? I know they want Batum but I don't want to send him in a Harris deal. Maybe Andre and our 1st rdr and a Euro (Claver?) for Devin Harris.

The Nuggets will suck after that trade.

BTW I would take Petro along with Harris if that was the clincher. Basically if we could give up Miller and Joel to get those two guys, that would be a nice deal. Petro(24) is not terrible and he would become the backup center. Harris would be the starting PG with Mills backing him up. Devin is 27 and has a pretty decent contract. We would basically be getting two players for one because Joel has been non-existent to this point in the season. We would have a nice PG and certainly an upgrade at the backup C/PF slot. If we had to throw in our 2.2mil trade exception from the Bayless trade and a draft pick so be it. We could also add in 3mil of PAs cashola.

fully agree, if taking Petro gets us Harris that is a no brainer, I'd even throw a 1st rd pick in

thereby improving Portlands playoff chances.

Here's to hoping the Nuggets make a trade and it either involves Portland or two eastern conference teams.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this trade puts the Nets on the Heat/Celtic/Magic level. More like on the Hawks/Bulls/Knicks level.

Go Blazers

I would say even that is optimistic. Rip is not what he used to be and Billups is ok. Melo/Rip/Lopez<Rose/Boozer/Noah/Deng

That would be a bad move for the Nets. I'd like to see it, though, because Murphy is rotting on my fantasy basketball team's bench.

Agreed. But you have to start somewhere.

You seriously still own Murphy in a fantasy league? Great idea there. Don't want anyone to get 3 points and 4 boards a night from him.

You obviously know exactly how many teams are in our league and our roster sizes.

Nice insight.

Rumor has it the Blazers may acquire Devin Harris from Denver as a secondary move...Denver still hesitant to deal...

From Hoopsworld:

But the deals wouldn't stop there. Should Harris be acquired by Denver, another source has told HOOPSWORLD that he could be sent to Portland for a package that includes Andre Miller and/or Marcus Camby, who are both being shopped around by the Blazers. Miller's deal includes a team option for next season, which would likely be declined by the Nuggets, who are looking to shed payroll

Not in this article. Portland is interested in Harris, but Denver wants Batum. Maybe a package of Miller/Camby and a pick?

If they want Batum, it will cost them Favors. Whether they'll do it or not is up to them.

In a bizarro way flipping Harris to us for Miller will help the Nuggets out in the long term from a salary perspective, but I just can't see them swallowing the idea of helping out a division rival. I'll frankly be shocked if we get him.

Two teams and a roster size of five, correct?
