OT 15U Gold Roster

My nephew just got elected to the 15U Gold roster. As I understand it’s a regional team that plays in the Pacific Northwest and is pretty special for him.

Does anyone here have any more info on this? I’m following him pretty close. He’s good. Very good as a matter of fact but a bit small. He probably won’t be more than 6’2”.

He's at Gladstone. Just a Freshman. Kid is really good. I don't think he knows how good yet?
We are going through that High School "Gotta Make good Decisions" talk stage. So many things make them lose attention. Girls, Drugs, Girls, Cars, Girls, Drugs, Girls, XBox. Tough being a kid these days. A bunch of pressures we never had.

His dad left him when he was about 3. I kinda been the only "Father" type figure he has had that has stuck around but I'm just an uncle. Not there all the time.

Man, dealing with this with 2 teens now. Boy and a girl. A lot of sit down one on one face to face talks……. Started them both when they were heading into 6th grade. It’s very easy to tell which kids DON’T get those talks. It tough

I don't know anything about it. My kids have been kind of under the radar because they are Oregon City girls, and OC likes to build a fence around their players, so I don't really know how these things work. My oldest daughter made a top 10 in Oregon list entering her freshman year, but then covid hit and it's been kind of a shit show.

Varsity as a freshman and should have started at PG this season (sophomore), but I think promises were made so they didn't lose all of their seniors 2 years in a row. She's also very small.

For us, boys are the devil.

I have friends with girls who all played OC Pioneers Basketball. Funny you should say Fence. That program has a great history.

Honestly I have been reading your thread. Was going to post this on there but I didn’t want to encroach on her stuff.
Your thread is pretty much why I started this one. I just think it’s cool to know all our kids are athletes and we support them.

No, he's retired. One of the former players is coaching now.
