Executive Summary:

1) Continued improvement of young returning players who played at a 53-win pace over the final 2/3 of last season.

2) Addition of a secondary ball handler of size allows us to always have two ball handlers on the court at all times. Will prevent opposing defenses from shutting down our team by focusing on a single player when one of our two best players leaves the game. Will create more, higher percentage, catch and shoot opportunities for our two best players, as well as others.

3) Addition of an elite rim protector, even if it's just for ~ 16 MPG for 60 games, plus an above average perimeter defender, will significantly improve our team defense and help hide the defensive liabilities of our starting back court.

4) Fewer wins for the top 2 - 3 teams in the West means more wins for everyone else.

Predicting 46 wins this year is an even bigger joke than predicting 27 (or 23) wins last year. Last year, after losing 4 starters, there were reasons to be pessimistic. This year, after watching a very young team win at a 53-win pace for 2/3 of a season and make it to the second round of the playoffs, there are reasons to be optimistic.

I would like to give away a prize for this, however I'm not sure how to do it. I would like to give away a pair of tickets to the final game, but how do we know who is the winner BEFORE the game? plus with that short of notice will the winner be able to attend? Are they even in this state?
I just thought it would be awesome for the person who is right to be able to attend the final game for so closely predicting how this years team will do.
Anyone have any thoughts on how best to do this?

Yeah, I may have got a little zealous. Not sure how to play the game out. If there is a tie well, maybe if its two people, they each get one ticket. We can always have a tie breaker, but my concern is how to figure out the winner prior to the last game and I don't know if we can answer that until a few games prior, if at all.

I did not quite understand your sentence. I thought of this topic only as a numbers guess. However, every time we tour Texas and OKC those 4 teams usually stick it to us. I am anticipating better win/loss records against that competition. The East coast teams can be a real challenge but I hope for winning streaks against Indy,Chicago,Philly,Nets, Knicks and Wizards. thnx
