1st Debate! Trump vs Clinton

Trump is a donkey, I'd read that Ford wasn't cutting jobs here but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be nice to ADD them here instead.

I'd rather have a guy who is wrong for the right reasons over the woman who repeats the same talking points over and over. Oreos are another topic. It seems they aren't all going to be made in Mexico but 600 jobs are supposedly being cut in Chicago. There are issues to discuss and neither one of them does a very good job of explaining jack shit.

I especially enjoyed Trump's incoherent, Sarah Palin-esque word salad when asked about cybersecurity (or as he calls it, "the cyber"):

Look at the mess that we're in. Look at the mess that we're in. As far as the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said, we should be better than anybody else, and perhaps we're not. I don't know if we know it was Russia who broke into the DNC. She's saying Russia, Russia, Russia. Maybe it was. It could also be China, it could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds. You don't know who broke into DNC, but what did we learn? We learn that Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of by your people. By Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Look what happened to her. But Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of. Now, whether that was Russia, whether that was China, whether it was another country, we don't know, because the truth is, under President Obama we've lost control of things that we used to have control over. We came in with an Internet, we came up with the Internet. And I think Secretary Clinton and myself would agree very much, when you look at what ISIS is doing with the internet, they're beating us at our own game. ISIS. So we have to get very, very tough on cyber and cyber warfare. It is a, it is a huge problem. I have a son. He's 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it's unbelievable. The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it's hardly do-able. But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing, but that's true throughout our whole governmental society. We have so many things that we have to do better, Lester and certainly cyber is one of them.

I think if you are a Hillary supporter before the debate or a Trump supporter before the debate, this "thing" probably did nothing to change your mind.

As somebody who will vote for neither, all I can say is that I thought Trump did well in the first 30 minutes and then he started punching himself in the face with some seriously incoherent blather. Clinton didn't really do much to him. If he is judged to have "lost" (whatever that means?) then it's mostly self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Trump on coke... hahaha Are you serious? Is that what the left is resorting too now? LOL.

The moderator was a little bias towards Clinton. Donald dick slapped her on the point of her team bringing up the Obama Muslim garb picture. When they started with the birther nonsense. Destroyed her on her corrupt DNC, although some of the points got lost because he was trying to talk about too many things in a short amount of the time.

I especially loved it when he says something like "sure you may have a lot of experience, a lot of bad experience". Pretty damn true. Hillary in her position in office has done jack shit to further this country.

All she is going to be known for is Benghazi, and her corrupt bullshit lies about her email.

Trump's website wasn't even working last night...must have been the work of a 400 pound hacker!

Majority of snap polls show Trump won debate by a landslide despite CNN's overwhelming victory for Hillary in biggest official survey
  • CNN's snap poll gave Clinton the win with 62 per cent to Trump's 27
  • But most of the others reported Trump was the winner by a landslide
  • The pair engaged in a vigorous back-and-forth at Hofstra University
  • Here, we present the results from snap polls conducted after the debate

I agree that Hillary wasn't at her best, but she was civil, logical, and coherent. I can't say as much for Trump. He did start out strong I'll give him that. In fact it looked like it was going to be a battle, then about a half hour in he faltered and sputtered out. His non coherent babble, and his confession that he jumps through loopholes to escape paying taxes. That he's smart for owing banks and other companies 680 million and won't pay people what he owes them. He is blathering idiot whose microphone "malfunctioned"

Wrong. Surf the internet Denny, most polls say the opposite not just CNN...all the major polls have Hillary winning the debate, in fact the only one I saw him winning was the one or two you showed here

I'm watching the CNN post debate show as well as reading twitter and why the hell are so many people giving Trump a pass on not being prepared and attacking Hillary for being prepared? What the hell is that...
A primary goal of the mainstream media in a Presidential campaign is to have a dynamic close race to cover and profit from. Hillary leads comfortably in this race by most polling so Trump receives the kid glove treatment to help him along. The last thing they want to do is bury him and have viewers decide it's over.

STOMP

So let me get this straight. You wouldn't use a tax law to avoid paying money at the end of the year? I call bullshit on that. EVERYONE tries to get back as much money as they can, or avoid paying personal income tax whenever possible.

This notion that Hillary put forth that the country couldn't have nice roads, bridges, etc because Trump personally (may or may not; unknown ATM) paid income tax was a complete sham.

IF he hasn't paid income tax its likely because he has taken losses in other avenues of his business life. That works out for many business owners around the country.

Also, this assertion that Trump hasn't paid some Architect in the audience for his clubhouse work is nonsense. There was no facts given, just a unfounded claim. Perhaps Trump has a lawsuit against the business? It's unknown and that claim was dubious at best.

Not to mention her complete bullshit tax plan. Oh yes "Tax the wealthy so they can pay their fair share" and then goes into saying something similar to "Working hard should get you paid well". Shit is so dumb. Yes, lets go ahead and penalize those who succeed in America, yet continue to say I will get you to succeed with my tax plan.

Also the notion that her tax plan to tax the wealthy/businesses will fix America? Not even close; People with that much money will just leave, or put their money elsewhere, which is the entire cornerstone of Donald's argument against her. People do not want to continue to do business in America due to our current tax laws.

It's working people like us that are paying taxes while Trump and his rich cronies get to pay nothing because some shit loophole...that loophole needs to be closed...he like the rest of the top 1% need to pay their way too...it's not like they can't afford to...greed

So it's only "Trump and his rich cronies" that pay nothing? Try again. And you don't think things like the Clinton foundation aren't using those same loopholes? Come on... be real. People in politics (before Donald) made these laws. You can't sit there and bust his balls for taking advantage of laws that have been in place for years. All that does is lend more credence to his statement that she has been in politics for that many years and has done nothing to improve the USA and its economy.

Edit: My wife and I get tax breaks/relief/adjustment because of a business. This can happen to everyone in business not just "rich cronies".

Did you guys miss when he said that tax money woud have been wasted? If you don't agree with that we'll just have to be enemies for life.

Website looks made up to me.

I absolutely agree with him 100% on that. I actually laughed, because it's true, his tax money would have been squandered anyway. Probably on more Federal records training for Clinton and her staff.... ;) I mean, I take those flash video training tests and let me tell ya, they are uh....'awesome'.... (not :))

I watched the first 15 minutes, but got irritated at the interrupting by Trump. Decided to turn it off.

There was just mention of loaning money to a person to use to buy drugs in another thread. This is a good analogy for this.

Like I've said, he seems like a nut job. I prefer the nutjob to the snake oil salesman.

He said something about dangerous inner cities and she went straight to how black churches are great. If you get shot walking to church I'm not sure the quality of the church makes me feel better.

I don't think he has the first clue what to do for the black community, but at least he doesn't pander to them.

Edit...example. Stop and frisk. Fuck off with the unconstitutional bullshit. Locking all black people before they do anything up would decrease crime too. You can't do it. It is unAmerican

You're kidding, right? You honestly think that a majority of the taxes paid in this country are paid by "working people" like us?

Well adjusted gross income means that it includes loopholes, no?

I know Trump supporters minds will not be swayed by the debate, and in fact they won't at all. There is no demonstration of logic or reality that can make that happen

I do not agree with stop and frisk either. But whose to say it's only targeting black people? I think that is not correct. I will say this though and it goes for any color/gender.

The way you dress directly impacts the way people view you and it goes far outside any law enforcement person. It happens at work, in public, by police, by men, women, black, white, you name it.

There is a huge correlation to hip hop and the "thug-type" culture. Just listen to the majority of the songs. OK, kids both black and white latch onto that music, emulate the musicians and end up dressing 'thuggish'. They could be straight-A students and clean nosed, but the way they dress causes people to look at them differently. It's the same way that some businesses want you to dress up in a suit when you are at work. Perception matters.

And her plan is to tax them more!

LOL. come on... Such an incentive to be successful in America! Come to America make money and pay for everyone else! Woohoo! The whole idea stinks of mediocrity.

I know, but why they do something and if they should are two different things. If I were dictator anyone with their boxer shorts showing to the middle of their butt cheek would be arrested. Second offense would be bad for them.

Luckily I'm not a dictator, our government can't do things just because I agree with the reasons.

Left lane speed limit Nazis would lose their license for life.

The article has a dozen, if not more, screen shots of polls. The pictures lie?

Not necessarily. I'm not a tax expert like @JFizzleRaider, but I'd venture that most loopholes are below the line deductions, not above the line adjustments.
Ahh, you could be right. I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you, just wasn't sure your chart responded directly to the point.
