thats the planinteresting.. from what I've read a lot depends on how his mom feels. Wonder if he can get back to Eugene with his mom this time around.

it's particularly funny to see them hating on the one realist Husky fan (Bomberboy) in their chat community... check the thumbs up/down ratings posters give each other

no, not a surprise. He just jumped out on film to me so I'd hoped for him to sign onNot really a huge surprise, is it? I thought he was a huge Cal guy all along, and the major upset would have been him going to Oregon.
yes you did say the same exact thing two days ago... are you going to say this every time a California kid signs with a California school? The Ducks won't be playing in the state of Arizona every year yet somehow they've got 3 new recruits from there. There aren't any games on the schedule in Hawaii, Texas, Florida & Iowa...I also hate to bring this up again, but Oregon lost out on another kid who will get to play in LA every year. I think this is going to be a huge obstacle
another non-surprise... Jason Gibson to Cal
Ducks were the bridesmaid to Cal again but weak side DE is not a position that I'm all that concerned with.
Avery Walls announces tomorrow...

they've certainly enjoyed an inside track for most SoCal and Bay Area kids... which is why it's such a good thing Oregon has gone national with their recruiting.Seems like every year that Cal is our main recruiting competition.
Oh well. Fuck Cal. That kid will probably graduate never beating Oregon.
I'm new to the whole recruiting thing, so losing out on big guys is disappointing, especially when they go to a school that has a shitty team.
Oregon has been trending up both in recruiting and on the field for a while now. As Wheels points out, many of the best players in the recent history of Oregon's success were diamonds in the rough types who were lightly regarded by the recruiting services when they committed. While landing top prospects is exciting, it's not the end all. The recruiting classes who've earned this trip to the national championship game averaged a #24 overall rating by rivals...I'm new to the whole recruiting thing, so losing out on big guys is disappointing, especially when they go to a school that has a shitty team.
