read about him the other day actually. Interesting that Cliff is one of the best returners in the country, and he was behind Rolando on the returner depth chart. Hope he can get grades and all that in order to play at his dream school
 
rivals puts out all camp 1st & 2nd teams evaluating who fared the best in the head to head competitions this past summer. 2012 Duck DT commit Alex Balducci made the 1st team. Pretty safe bet that he moves even further up in their next round of ratings (he's currently rated the 178th best PSA in the country)

Delusional UW fans on Dawgcrap.com are convinced that Balducci is wavering on his commit and is going to sign with UW.

Balducci's going nowhere but Oregon. My dad talked with his mom at a BBQ last weekend. Oregon is where he's always wanted to play.

Haven't been keeping up on recruiting, how are we doing compared to our amazing year last year? Better?

doubt we will be affecting by any of the shit off the field, as our problems weren't even in the top 3 off the field issues the NCAA has had to deal with this off season.

Looks like it's pretty status quo as far as the Ducks are concerned,Mr. Starting a tad slower maybe? However the Ducks seem tohave multiple interest from many 4-5 star guys

this time last year Oregon had 7 commits, three of which rivals ended up rating as 4* guys. One of the seven (Texas QB Johnny Manziel) decommitted. You can see who and when here. Right now Oregon has 8 commits. Two are rated 4* right now but I'd expect after some impressive showings at the summer camps that Jake Rodrigues probably moves up to that rating in their next round of evaluations.

As MM said they have a lot of interest from highly rated prospects who are lining up their official visits. Blazing fast Arizona WR DJ Foster just confirmed that he'll be in Eugene in two weeks.

just the top 100. They'll do the top 250 in a couple more days then update the rest in a week or so.

summarizing a Rivals article on stud RB Byron Marshall's unofficial visit to Eugene last week with his dad, he loved it. But then again he's said similarly glowing things about the other schools he's visited. The best part is that he's planning on coming back on an official visit at the civil war game.

elite DT prospect Ellis McCarthy has set his first official visit. He'll be headed to Eugene Oct 13th... not sure if he's staying through the weekend for the ASU game

I'd love another mammoth DT in the Ngata/Olshansky mold. I had high hopes Miles Wade could have been that guy a couple years back. Never panned out.

Oct 13th is over a month away. I wouldn't expect a decision from Ellis until closer to signing day though as he's got options
