I think teams will over pay for Kaman, so I dont want us to have any part of that.

i think we need all the fat white bald guys on the blazers

That seems like a waste to me. When was the last time he stayed healthy for a majority of a season?

I am guessing Bucher based that assumption SOLEY on the fact our new GM has a relationship with Kaman and N.O has a short relationship with Kaman........ and both need centers. Other than that he has no other information.

i would take him at 6 million for 1 year

The issue with that is our GM said he wants guys that are going to be here long term.

he said he wants a long term core, and then guys coming in on 1 and 2 year contracts to fill out the team

If we strike out on the top free agents we could look at Kaman for a one or two year deal. Kind of how the Warriors paid Kwame Brown $7million for one year. They had missed out on DeAndre Jordan and had no other use for cap room so just decided to blow it on the best big man available for one year and try again next off-season.

If we have no other use of cap space and Kaman could be the missing piece to fill a hole in the roster at center sure lets take a look at it. But if we are multiple players away from being a second round playoff team I think I'd rather just keep the cap space and utilize it to bring in a superior long-term asset at the trade deadline.

He's an extremely inefficient black hole. Please no.

Part of the logic of the Kwame Brown deal was that it also provides a nice expiring contract to move at the deadline. It ended up helping us get Bogut.

This thread is NOT "OFFICIAL"!

Bring back Andre Miller! He would be great for us.

As much as some people may hate this idea, it's a good one IF we miss out on Nash, Williams, Dragic (or any other top PG I'm spacing out on). Miller as a backup to a young PG we draft would be great, ESPECIALLY if it's Marshall. Imagine Miller teaching Marshall a thing or two about alley-oops on top of Marshall's already great distributing. I'd love to see Aldridge, etc. getting more easy buckets like that.

When I become interim head coach...... you guys are gonna' be kissing my ass!

Speaking of free agents, isn't Crawful officially one in a week?

Not a bad idea. When Miller was here, LMA was the top what? One or two in the NBA with the lob/dunk combo. After Miller goes away...well, did he even hit mid pack? Doubt it..

I don't understand this logic at all; if the Warriors hadn't signed Brown they would've been under the cap and could've done a lopsided salary trade. That salary savings would be much more valuable in a trade then an expiring contract.

Yes I would be interested in bringing him in if the price is right for a 1 year contract. That is if we strike out on the top free agents we could hire some of these 1 year pieces and try again for free agents the following off-season. If the team struggles dump the vets at the trade deadline again and tank for the lotto. If the team is in the playoff hunt then the signings probably worked out well.
