Or if PJIII can play some SF like his agent thinks, can we roll with a starting unit of <FA PG>, Batum, PJIII, Trob, LMA? That could be real fun to watch. A two year deal of Nash leading the group would give an exciting mix of vets and youth.

Oh my! That would be a tasty morsel!

Yes... the quote clearly stated that the ONLY reason the Blazers are considering selecting him is because of one good workout at the practice facility. Clearly.

Before the combine and workouts was there any chance we’d consider drafting Lillard at #6?

If Robinson slides to 5 I could definitely see the Kings picking Cousins or Lillard over him. That would probably be my dream scenario, Robinson falling to 6. Him and LaMarcus would be a fun pair to watch.

Cousins? Huh? This makes no sense.

particularly because by drafting him they will be passing on guys like Waiters\Rivers\Lamb whom I think more highly of and forgoing a golden opportunity to move up\flip flop 1 spot with SAC (or CHA\CLE) to get a hold on one of those 4 players....

... lol

Good chance that those guys turn out to be average also. As we all know, every guy comes with risks. Seems like every draft there are more top 10 guys that end up being average or worse then end up being great.

Maybe this is dumb, but is TRob similar to Hickson?

I don't believe so. But I had seen some mocks having him going in the 9-15 range, including at least one with him going #11 to Portland.

Well he's one of the guys we brought in for a reason and one of the few who sat down and had dinner with PA.

We as in the people in this forum? Absolutely not, when a lot of opinion is formed by other mock drafts. To some,11 might have been too high. To our GM and scouts? who knows.

Olshey said he's been following Lillard since at least his sophomore year in college.

Next year at this time Fez is going to be saying he was driving the Lillard to Portland bandwagon...

If you buy a ticket on all of them, you can claim you were on one of them.

Hell no! That guy is one of the biggest headcase knuckleheads in the league. No heart, no desire to be great.

You cray cray. That's all I can say.

He may not have the desire to be great. But I think he cares more than that. I just think he's a knucklehead on top of that.

Even if Cousins decided to get through the next 12 years with his current ability level and not improve at all, I'd argue he's better than anyone in this draft.

It's ghey, and it's stuck in my head - I realize this. It's a joke - people in "my crew" keep using it.

So I probably won't stop using it. Much like you won't stop listening to Ace of Base (they're the tits).

About 48 hours until all this speculation turns into reality. Can't wait!

Selfish player that only cares about his stats, not wins. Similar to his teammate Evans.

Jonathan Givony: Green Room Invites officially released. Same 14 from yesterday. Davis, T-Rob, Beal, MKG, Barnes, Lillard, Waiters, Rivers, Drummond (cnt'd) 3 minutes ago

Jonathan Givony: Green Room Invites continued: Lamb, Henson, Zeller, Ross, Leonard 3 minutes ago

I like that two of those guys will be wearing Blazer caps.

I love MKG, but our biggest need right now is a perimeter scorer. Neither he or Barnes could bring that as much as Lillard conceivably would. MKG won't fall that far though. I see Robinson as the guy who falls to 5 and his talent is far too great to pass on, even with LaMarcus on the roster.

Our biggest need right now is talent. I'd submit that to think "perimeter scoring" is more important than "shutdown defense" or "transition game" or "alpha dog" means that you're focusing too hard on a tree, and not the forest.

Yes. Chad Ford told me May 20 that Lillard was the best fit for POR out of he, Marshall and Waiters.

Not to mention Nic and Wes are pretty good shooters usually. Talent is the key, and heart. The main reason I would want MKG is for heart and defense. Maybe some heart can rub off on Nic. If (big IF) you were lucky enough to get MKG, would that increase the odds of making this more of a transition team? Would you then be more interested in Marshall because you have solid defensive players behind him? I love this poster:

but could see it being similar with LMA, Batum and MKG running at you.
